Where am I saying what anyone's reaction should be? I'm just posing a question as to how we as a society deal this sort of thing, because I don't think it moves us forward when there's an orchestrated witch hunt over some random girls 15 year old tweets where she had already addressed, apologised and atoned for that behaviour. I'm not saying you must accept her apology and be her biggest fan, I'm just asking like wtf are we doing here. And as I asked in my first post, if it's really just about the fact that slayyyter currently has success and a platform I can appreciate that. Also I completely acknowledge being black and being gay are completely different, I even emphasised that in my post your quoted but there are some parallels when it comes to bigotry and discrimination from straight white peoplw, like let's not act brand new now. I never equated the struggles of each group to one another, just pointing out like a white gay man can also be subjected to bigotry, discrimination and hatred for the way they were born too.

Genuine question though, should there not be encouragement or room for people to grow and change? Otherwise like what is the point in anything? Like as a gay person, I have some level of understanding of someone who may have been brought up in a homophobic environment and society might express homophobia at a younger more impressionable age. I know the two aren't the same, but is the whole goal to get more people to understand these patterns of hate and biasness? I full understand and support any person choice not to forgive her or support her but I'm now seeing a lot of discourse around how she must still be a racist or must be thinking racist thoughts all the time, it's just getting a point… if it all boils down to the fact that someone using racial slurs online as a teenager should never be given a platform than that's fine, I can appreciate that perspective. I'm just not really sure what that actually achieves in late-2026 when we have an elite class or racist peadophiles running the world that no one seems to be doing anything about.

I recently received my inheritance and I want to donate a portion to help those stuck in Gaza facing the ongoing horrific genocide at the hands of Israel. I know the major human aid organisations are the simplest way, but I just worry about their ability to be able to actually get the goods and aid into Gaza, so I thought I'd throw the question out to you all to see if there any other super effective and helpful ways to donate directly
