Shes clearly taking the stance that she’s not guilty, and apologising would be her admitting guilt.

I think everyone here needs to acknowledge from a legality point of view, her publicly apologising would give enough evidence that she is guilty of the actions the dancers are accusing her of.

 

To be honest, my heart is telling me the reality of the situation is probably somewhere in the middle. Clearly there was a lot of tension on set, Lizzo likely wasn’t dealing with the pressure of it all and just being so caught into the machine her personal ethics and morals went out the window and it probably contributed to a negative work environment.

 

On the other hand, I do think some of these stories may have been embellished to a degree. It seems like a lot of the statements mentioned in the law suit are assumptions drawn by the dancers based on what they witnessed.

 

Do I think Lizzo is completely innocent? No, she clearly at some point got so caught up in the machine she’s lost herself, but at the same time in this instance I think it’s beneficial to listen to all parties involved. Either way Lizzo has some work to do if she wants a chance at a mainstream career after this.

 

I feel like she's not even trying to take some responsibility in all of this...

If she wanted to accomplish clearing things up and addressing these issues, she failed at that
