This situation is a mess. A “thick people hero” becoming a villain, messy details, court case as if she killed someone, the not so apology giving “sorry you feel this way”

I feel like she is loud and impulsive and probably not really aware of how people feel. It was color coded in giggles and “having fun” but her employees probably felt pressured to do certain things

We shouldn’t have expected anything more from such a statement. Apologising probably would backfire in court.

 

However, the part about her being sexually open somehow admits that there was some behaviour, that wouldn’t be consider as appropriate 

This is such a mess. She basically didn't clear anything and made it all sound like sensationalized stories and outrage by the media.

 

She obviously isn't apologizing for anything publicly because that would be used against her in court, but this statement is still poorly written imo.

Listen, Idegaf about the body shaming accusations (they're bad for her brand, but also the least surprising of the accusations to me), but it's annoying the sh*t out of me that people are glossing over the accusations of her coercing employees to eat fruit out of vaginas and catch dildos flying out of vaginas. That's not being ~sexually open~ and it's not ~sex positivity~. It's sexual harassment. It's disgusting and it's exploitative. 

 

If this weak statement is about legality, then she shouldn't have said anything at all and instead had her lawyers write up and release a statement.

From my perspective, it does. In public eyes, Lizzo have been champions for plus size but if this is how she is behind the closed door. Then this is not just fat shaming, she is just profiting off people struggles but in reality have no empathy for them.  

That was probably the worst statement she could give. Full of nothing.

Are you talking about the same Meghan that said she wasn’t “strong enough” to have an eating disorder and was promptly dragged for it?

I think Lizzo probably got to a place where she felt so hyped up in her inner circle for being a successful big black girl that she decided she needed to flaunt it or try to push her hypersexual image onto her dancers and this is the result of that; she clearly has way too many yes men around her and needs therapy, as most pop stars do.

What I take from this is that lizzo and her lawyers are pretty sure she will win otherwise they would have settled outside court
