ribs cleared

I grew out of Ribs a while ago, but I still use Supercut a bit, especially in the summer. She nailed that song, I'll give it to her, much as it pains me.

Supercut

Ribs is lowkey the only song from PH I go back to these days. I was obsessed with the entire album but it's too coming-of-age'd for me these days + it reminds me a lot of my HS years and I've outgrown that phase.

 

Supercut however is still that ***** and will always be. It's kinda viral on TikTok and I'm becoming obsessed with it again this summer.

oh wow this is a very tough one

 

I've always loved Supercut, but I don't stream it nearly as much as I did from 2017-2020

whereas Ribs was not my fav back in high school but back around 2019 it started growing on me and I listen to it now probably more often than Supercut

 

I think I have to go with Supercut though, on the basis of it being almost Green Light/Dancing on My Own level of pop perfection

Damn, both are top-tier Lorde, but Supercut just gives me that feeling. I can't explain it 

This was way harder for me then i thought 

 

They both mean so much to me and were what i listened to during some rough times. I honestly discovered ribs after super cut though and was instantly enthralled. I think it slightly edges out supercut for me but they’re both top tier masterpieces 

I won’t be made to choose between my two favorite Lorde songs, I will not. 
 

Does she not have official videos (even lyric or audio videos) for either of these songs?

 

This is tough, Ribs is amazing, some of her best writing and production (she also has a production credit on this one), although it might not be my favourite Pure Heroine track, which tends to switch between Buzzcut Season and A World Alone. I think I listen to Supercut more, love the song, all the little details in the production and the way the long outro that fades into Liability (Reprise).

I really don’t use Supercut very often, just when I listen to the whole album, whereas I will actively seek out Ribs on its own once in a while.

Supercut, Ribs is cute tho
