Did people forget music is also supposed to be fun? A good song doesn't necessarily mean one that has deep lyrics etc. You're lying if you're saying this chorus don't got you feeling some type of way

I relistened to bandaids after watch it burn and it lowkey clears WIB it's the better more catchier song in every way and the bridge is a collapse still. If either of those were going to be a hit it was definitely bandaids imo.

This summer BOP

It took one listen of the new song to know it was going to flop. Even with help from playlisting it was going to do nothing. The chorus is flat and grating. Production is basic pop rock slop. I used to ride hard for Katy too, NRO is one of my fav songs of all time but she clearly has 0 artistic vision right now and you can tell because every genre she is trying is producing the most basic versions of those songs.

I really don't understand how she did everything right and i thought she finally found herself a new sound with NRO and then she just threw it all away by releasing trash after trash

Stupid smash is the perfect example of how she's the queen of letting a song build with multiple peaks. The way it opens with just the piano and then the second verse picks the pace up until the bridge explodes and it all comes together for the last chorus no wonder why i can't stop replaying it
