2023 and SM are still not paying their artists.

Not armys celebrating already, tweeting BP, NCT, and SVT next.  

 

 

I have a feeling some NCT/Red Velvet members are about to dip too 

 

So if the contract issues are only because of CBX stuff then were there no issues with regular EXO stuff? It would be confusing if SM was only this difficult about paying out money from a damn subunit

i wonder how her contract is like, the SNSD ones would have had to be the 7+3 ones considering the 3 that left in 2017?

this is so baffling cause the amount of money they would make of baekhyun alone would prabably compensate paying them for those cbx gigs

It will be 7+3 like all 9 of them were. In 2017, Oh!GG signed 3 year extensions, while Seohyun, Sooyoung and Tiffany left SM at that time. Jessica remained under contract too due to the extension, but she/SM mutually agreed to terminate it in 2015, after 1 year.

 

I believe it was announced that Oh!GG signed another extension in 2020 and that may be up for expiry in August this year.

I wonder if Hybe would sign refugee SM artists when they escape, it’s like basically free album sellers for them.

How does that saying go? "People who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it" something like that. Seems like SM won't ever learn.

I know these companies don't care bout digitals and their peaks (I dont either, blackpink has been blocked from #1 literally 4 or 5 times nn)

but it would be a nice cherry on top

you got multiple groups clearing 3M-5M preorders and SM cant even get the failed NCT to pull such numbers and now they let their OG album sellers dissipate... a tragedy!
