  1. Everyone deserves the chance, there's no telling what could have happened. She may have fizzled out without support of the DNC/Biden pulling the lead or she could have won the nomination again. Who knows? And this right here is the problem, I don't think we'll get a revolutionary FDR style candidate for a little while , which is why I have no faith in AOC coming in like a trailblazer to win in 2028 like so many want to believe that she'll do. I don't even feel confident that she could win the black vote, for a multitude of reasons.
  2. Proven losers have gone on to win elections later, so we can't completely count her out. I feel indifferent to Buttigieg, though I have the strangest feeling that he won't win the primary but will be the vice president pick for diversity sake, the same way Kamala was in 2020.
  3. Why does everyone want AOC and Jon Ossoff to run for president so much in 2028? I see this same sentiment here, threads and on YouTube. Doesn't anyone think that they'd be better suited in the Senate, holding the line? Jon Ossoff running is conditional on Keisha Lance bottoms winning governor and being able to replace him with a Democratic senator in 2028. So everyone polling and being so certain or hopeful that he'll run is odd to me, especially since he holds an important position where currently is AOC would be better off running for senator when Schumer finally goes and then maybe becoming senate minority/majority leader. Maybe I'm the crazy one but I just don't see it for those two running for president in 2028.
  4. She had only four months to get as many votes out off 330 million as she possibly could and managed to get 75 million. that's not a terrible number, give her a full cycle where she's untethered to the Biden administration and let's see what she can do is all I'm saying.
  5. Joe Biden ran three times, Trump ran three times, Richard Nixon ran three, those men all lost elections before winning them but Kamala shouldn't run a third time because why? I'm really trying to understand everyone's (both here and other places) logic in that. Don't forget she "supposedly" lost by only 1.5 percent and got the third largest amount of votes ever in a US election (over 75 million votes) mind you but she shouldn't run again. There's something deeper there to that hesitation that they feel about her and it isn't her political stance, in my humble opinion.
  6. I don't particularly love NJ (though Minji/Haerin are great) and I didn't like that they were more popular that some other groups I liked at their peak, but even I know NewJeans ain't NewJeans without Danielle (and she's my least favorite member) I hope that one day they can all stand on stage together again after this is all over.
  7. The party of perverts strikes again. It seems like so often people associated with that party or have high ranking officials in that party are gross and weird.
  8. Can't even celebrate two dead Republican senators for 24 hours before that orange ***** comes up with some new bullshit to throw at us. I can't believe he got Graham's sister to be the temporary senator in his seat until January. What kind of crap is that? Not to mention trying to invalidate two Democrat senators who legitimately won their elections unlike him and pulling this nonsense. Everyday it's some new nonsense with this man. Can't wait to move past this man and all his foolishness already.
  9. The way everyone gave Joe Biden **** about his age and mental capabilities (which I can understand, he is an old man) but he wakes up and all his enemies (Mitch, Lindsey) aren't and he has prostate cancer is so hilarious to me. I wonder by how long he'll outlive Trump too 🤔
  10. Is it wrong to feel positively giddy about someone's death? Probably but I don't care. I feel like popping 🍾 right now. The comments on threads and YouTube are hilarious right now and I'm up voting every single one. These things come in three as they say, since the 🐢 and miss 🐞 are out, let's hope it's another Republican senator next. That will really ruin that court justice's plans to retire.
  11. I'm seeing a lot of push back an whataboutism about other candidates and not everyone knows every single thing about a person's past but you all are still missing my point, and it's worrying that people I thought were intelligent and I still do are coming at me like this. All I'm saying is that political leftists that know better ( not random people in maine) the random person doesn't know as much about politics as you or I (and I'm still a bit of a novice myself despite trying to learn more. Vaush should know better, Secular talk should know better, Majority Report should know ******* better. Even without the Nazi tattoo, this man had too much baggage, I knew it was never going to work. And yes, not always do black voices vote better when it comes to candidates (though that Cuomo push was mostly by old black Democrats, not young ones if I'm remembering correctly.) but if people are signaling alarm bells and all the white political activists are willing to down them out, how does that make black and brown voices in the political left space feel? Especially when we end up being right the whole time. And that's all I have to say about that.
  12. That doesn't have anything to do with what I typed so what are you telling me for?
  13. I think you might be misunderstanding me a little. I am aware that Maine is a primarily white state and that his image as the working white man with a bit of grit works there but he's not the only white man in the state that can project that without all the baggage that follows him. Secondly, it's one thing to overlook rude comments that were made years ago on reddit and a somewhat checkered past but once people knew that it was a Nazi tattoo, regardless if they didn't know before, that should have given them pause and made people take a step back. He had it for damn near 20 years uncovered. Lastly, the way people were practically gushing over him and leaving a puddle in their chair when they talked about him is bothersome. Him getting support is worthy of side eyeing but the fawning is my problem. Even when that republican woman came out against him and everyone immediately took his side an accused her of being an psyop, people defended him. Has she come out with a rape accusation, no one would have believed her. So please spare me the bullshit about the white leftists just wanting to rally about this man "And just wanting something better" because he had broken but redeemable image. A lot of people need to follow in AOC's footsteps and get better discernment.
  14. This whole Platner situation has made me really realize that people just see what they want to. All the leftist YouTubers I watch, Majority Report, Secular talk, Vaush etc were all in on this guy, when they should have been side eyeing him the moment we heard about that damn Nazi tattoo. But they wanted to believe a black water mercenary that was gung-ho about doing tours in the Middle East and made all those weird reddit comments was electable. They love the rough and tumble country guy image he was projecting so much that willingly blinded themselves to black voices that told them that this wasn't the guy. It's all so sickening and I don't even want to watch them anymore.
