When affluent white american leftists talk about moving to Europe, it really pisses me off. As if Europe is some haven and not the birthplace of evil that is still undermining the global south and also has problems with racism, misogyny, and homophobia. As if it isn't the ideal rightwing americans want to achieve.

 

It makes me think that pocs are a concept to agree with and not people they care for. I mean, I've never been to Europe but if any black brits, etc can tell me if its the same ****, different language, I'd love to hear it but I have a little feeling they're not thinking of you when they think "Europe".

this black girl on tiktok said it the best. that we too welcoming to culture vultures that they get comfortable and begin putting down our own ppl. at the same time we also ignore/put down our own ppl in the same career fields. im glad more ppl waking up to the fact they use our culture for popularity & financial gain then switch up on everybody.
