Petal And I love Petal sm but that doesn't hinder me from being able to appreciate what Miley and Charli do. MFF could have been an EP imo because while I get the intention, the execution was underwhelming. Songs like SS26, Card Declined, I'm Afraid, Camera, and No One Lasts Forever…sublime Bass Persuades starts off week but Let's Get Married on jumps between good and great. Petal is the most consistent and I think Ariana actually does alternative pop pretty well. Even when she falls back on familiar sounds, they're still fun and they make sense within the broader context of the album. Sure some of the lyrics are clunky but I'm not getting this idea that Ariana comes off as completely incoherent. Sure she might be vague, but what's understood doesn't always have to be stated.
