The key is to draw inspiration, not duplicate. In the early 2010s there was this big trend where artists were making songs heavily influenced by 80s synths. That worked bc it was fresh, not a recreation. The same thing needs to be done here. And it can happen, people just aren’t getting the right spotlight. Jae Stephens is doing it right. It sounds very influenced but in a way that also sounds fresh and original.

The girls own the brand yes. When a business opportunity for the GROUP is on the table, the business people contact their manager, who reaches out to the girls. Who say yes/no about participating. The side activities Audrea/D did (like that festival show) wasn’t brought to the group they booked that on their own. And it’s why they’re shows since have been Aundrea & D woods of Danity Kane, and not just Danity Kane.

Well, they both selectively withhold the truth and that makes it difficult. Again, let me say I have no issue with Dawn. I support her decision to NOT want to work with people she does not like atm. At the time, AOD was the biggest DK fan site. It wasn’t aubrey’s official website until later, bc the forum launched as a fan site to support Aubrey. It was a thing in the fandom bc it was also talked about on Dawn’s forum. No one outright talked about it but it did end up leaking bc no one knows how to stfu lol. Aubrey talking about it in that interview was to say “hey, this isn’t the first time this girl has done shady shit” not the reason why her and Shannon were cutting additional vocals. I completely understand what he's saying and also what you've expressed here. But it's important to discuss the fact that there is VERY little the Dem opposition party (I stress dem and you'll see why later) can do in the minority when, on more than one occasion, we were all warned that a Trump presidency would have dire consequences that would be felt for generations to come. It's happened in the court appointments, federal overhauls of policy, commissions, etc. It's hard to thrwart fascism when the courts are packed against you, and the ones that would rule on the side of the law get overturned by the corrupt Supreme court. When, in the LITTLE time where we do get a slim majority, we're sabotaged by corporate sellouts or "both sides" people who would rather keep the status quo than actually do something substantive. When people who don't have the courage to take a page out of the GOP playbook and say fuck it. Yes, all of that is important, but it's important to tackle this on a local, county and state level too. Because of those offices are filled with politicians actually worth a damn, hopefully they can run statewide for a federal position with a record of success that takes the boogeyman factor away from the crazy people who vote against their best interest each election. I'm happy to see some of that happening. Need more of it. The normal answer to his comments is "he's right. times have been worse. but for those of us living directly in it, it sucks very bad right now, and nothing is giving us a glimmer of hope to erase that despair. What are you doing to try and fix that?" instead of the faux arguments the OP later posted about.
