This being her highest-profile performance in lord knows how long when she paid her album and lowkey her entire solo career dust.  It's maddening almost.

I love the other girls too, but seeing them perform again after not seeing it for so many years makes it way more obvious how leagues ahead Normani's performance skills are  Like that super basic Worth It and WFH choreo felt so jarring now after we've seen what Normani can really do, and even with the dumbed down choreo, she still somehow managed to effortlessly serve.

They're all going to relaunch their solo careers off this. So just don't cry too much about it. That's clearly the play here. 
 

The girls looked good and ate down! Nothing more to say. Normani leading it is honestly how it needs to keep being. She makes all their formations look right. In a world of Katseye and Kpop, they need to always look GOOD on stage. Stay in rehearsals ladies.

Did this new choreographer do tonight's performance? If not, Normani solo stuff might be coming on the backs of this reunion. I seriously don't think this will be a tunnel vision, nobody can release solo music situation. Everyone is going to drop other projects/collabs/perform solo throughout this "reunion" process

This user has been reliable in the past, but I'm guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle. Keeping that Hollywood Reporter article in mind, they're probably gauging how big the reaction to this is before they finalize any other plans. If that merch they're promoting barely sells and they don't do numbers on social media, then there's clearly no demand for a reunion tour. But if they can get some hype (and possibly even a small streaming boost?) out of this, the idea of a more sustained comeback probably starts to sound a lot more enticing to them, especially considering none of them exactly have flourishing solo careers right now

 

For what it's worth, their TikTok post already has 500K views in under an hour. They're grabbing people's attention.

the only one I see relaunching solo is Normani. she was the next biggest after Camilla and has a few hits. they all went on hiatus 5+ years ago and barely anyone checked out the other three's music. I can't see people being interested now if they were not before.

Multiple NormaniUpdates admins have said it's a one off thing and they're in direct contact with her team. They were hinting at the performance before it was happened too. 
 

I hope she uses this attention to do something solo wise.

Nobody thinks she's too busy for anything right now. They just want better for her because it wasn't supposed to be like this. Who wants to see her performing old 5h songs when she hasn't even performed songs from her album. 
 

Not saying that she's bigger than the program but she was the only member trending alongside the group and I doubt if they performed as a trio people would be as tuned in.

THE FACT SO MANY of them are saying this makes me think Lydia or her mom reached out beforehand to let them know 5h reunion is happening but Normani is still solo so keep the fans interested but calmed down. 
 

They're doing way too much PR to calm down the anger that was starting up by some normani twitter fans. And they def said it was a one time thing *before* the official Fifth Harmony account did which means they def got the tea first from the source.

 

Everything else is exactly what my smartie @shelven said. They're gauging interest. The interest determines if we get a mini tour, a full world tour, a single, an album, or nothing but some tiktoks after tonight.

5H does not owe any albums to anyone. That is something said by stans because they're trying to make sense as to why they took so long to release albums and the truth is simple. Dinah, Lauren and Ally are independent and releasing music on your own is very expensive. That's it.

 

Your whole last paragraph is what I expected from former 5h fans so thanks. Normani doesn't have to rejoin. A choreographer already confirmed that he worked with her recently so solo normani is still in the works and if she had nothing going on... she still didn't have to join so let's be grateful she did it

The Hollywood Reporter article that said they were in talks for a reunion confirmed they were no longer on Epic's roster so I don't know why fans think they still owe them an album. 
 

Football season is about to start and she could be living her best wag life with her rich man but she chose to do this performance and has other things in the works. She's beating the doesn't want to work allegation. I just hope her and her team actually capitalise on this for once.

Why would any Nation be against Normani having a cute lil comeback single or album with 5H? Literally what other content are we getting?
 

If anything she could use the attention after for a second album.

I don't know why people just won't let this idea of Normani being leagues above these girls go. Yes; she is definitely the most successful out of all of the remaining members. 

 

However, the girl hasn't been present and active in her career since when? June 14 of last year? 

 

I personally think this is a great idea because it gets their faces back in front of the general public and gets the past fans checking for them again. 

 

If the rumors of her releasing a Sophomore album is true then this definitely did more good than harm. 

 

Do yall remember last year? She literally got over 100k retweets for her album announcement and then there was that big ass break with no promotion. 

 

That caused a huge blow to her sales. You guys forget that publicity and engagement is needed to survive in this industry. Having her in this reunion helped boost both regardless if it is negative or positive. 

 

Now all we need for her to do is stay consistent with social media and posting . If she wants to jumpstart her new era the time would be now when she's in the spotlight. 

Honestly I hate that I'm not super stoked for this ugh. Ughhhh. The limbo and uncertainty of everything with dopamine was so maddening - I just wish she would tell us wtf happened ? And sadly also this just doesn't seem genuine lol. They all shat on the group years after now suddenly they're down? To me it sadly sadly gives like - poorly executed nostalgia  :( I can't even believe I'm the one writing this

People are allowed to change their outlook at different parts of their life. The label, the fans…there were lots of toxic factors that would make the girls not like that part of their lives, but they all took the time to themselves and are grown adults. They clearly like each other as friends enough to do this on their own terms if they wanted to.
