Lydia's friend who was the former CEO of Motown Records is the new President of Music at Hybe America. Normani was on a panel with her and Lydia this summer. I wonder if she'll have a partnership with Hybe like Tyla just announced.

2026 might just be our year

The co-chairman/CEO of the label follows Normani and Lydia. Not a recent follow though but I think it's a good option.

All I said was I wonder what label she's signing to and you're writing think pieces in response. There is no correlation between your comment and what I said. Every time there's anything positive going on, you pop up like the grinch when you're not even a fan. It's extremely jobless of you Camila stans to still be doing this when it's about to be 2026. I'm not sure why you continue to respond to me but I'll bite. It's laughable to claim that what happened to her career has nothing to do with RCA. She left them so I'm wondering where she will sign to now. Go concern troll somewhere else.

Normani Updates admin. Lydia communicates with them. Choosing to believe it one last time lol. Also from another admin so I'm guessing she's signing to another label.

New interview where she talks about new music in 2026. She said it's go go go next year. I haven't seen her this excited talking about music in a really long time.

This feels really dramatic tbh. Being free from a label that clearly was not doing much for her is something to celebrate. And the idea that she wouldn't spend her own money on her music is not even true. She partially funded the Wild Side video and I wouldn't be surprised if the Dopamine visuals were self funded too. Calling Dopamine a complete bomb also ignores how little push it got. The rollout was messy and the promo was minimal and a lot of that is on RCA. An R&B album performing modestly without real support is not shocking. There are plenty of ways forward now. I wouldn't assume things are automatically going to go downhill from here.

If she had been signed to a more competent label, it would have been a better era but I agree that there's a lot more she should be doing. Let's hope this actually brings about real change. I think a documentary or sit down interview explaining what happened behind the scenes along with clearer communication about her future plans would really help.
