Let's just be happy that we have gotten more perfomances this year than previous. It is very obvious that RCA was responsible for getting her those huge stages back in 2018-2019. When she decided not to go the Motivation route, they stopped booking her those big stages. Her old manager might've sucked booking her gigs on his own. Lydia has done more than Brandon. And again, it is not lost on me that we got more performances after leaving RCA. It's good that Lydia is getting her back out there. Now, it is time to start teasing new music.

We are two weeks into July. It has been TWO months since Normani and Coi Leray did that video on IG talking about the summer will be lit with Kehlani. People predicted they were all doing a song together - nothing announced People thought they would be the opening acts on tour - nope So what is the plan? Did they have nothing planned? Did Coi and Normani just make the video just to make it?

Afram was during the time I was working. Just saw her performance on Youtube. She did good and that mic was on. I hope we get more performances this summer. I wonder what she got planned with Coi Leray and Kehlani. They made those posts on IG talking about this summer will be lit

I hope one of the fans live stream on Tiktok or IG like one did for her last performances. They always come through

Great producers but the main problem is will Normani actually promote her music this time? Will she choose the correct song to make a single or will she just choose another song like Fair or 1:59?

why does everybody keep thinking she was move to Jive records? considering she was removed from RCA website, it is obvious she is not a part of Jive. They would have her still listed just like SZA and Flo Milli are listed. SZA label is TDE. Flo is 94 sounds which is just like Jive and operates under RCA. JIVE will be under RCA, so it makes no sense to remove her from the website if she is still with RCA. Normani was signed to Keep Cool which was like TDE that had a joint venture with RCA. I'm sorry, but she is not with Jive.

Well, she's not on RCA website anymore, so she is probably not signed anywhere. Or she decided to go independent. Gotta get these brand deals/ sponsorship to secure money

We need to get more info on this label situation. People have already found out she is not listed on RCA website anymore under their artists. Has she signed somewhere else? Is she independent now? She gotta be more open to fans.

I never have and never will believe the stage fright rumors. She performed at those Spotify events back in 2024. She was in the lineup for that Empowher festival thing that ended up being a scam. She performed with 5H at one of the Jonas Brothers concerts. This literally contradicts her having stage fright. I don't buy her being bothered by the crowd size. Small stages is the only thing she is booking, so she should be used to the crowds not being that huge. Didn't she perform Motivation at some magazine party she was on the cover for? Didn't she perform at a private event back in 2021? Guarantee those crowds weren't that big. Be upset with the cancellation but these two theories makes no sense

I cannot believe it. Promoted it and then all of sudden announce she won't perform tonight but tomorrow

I'm just happy that we're seeing her perform at an actual event. Those Empowher festival people were dead wrong

What gave you the impression she does not want to spend her own money on her music? This is the same lady who put up $1 million for the Wild Side music video because the budget RCA gave her didn't the vision she had for it. If Lydia is a good manager, they could secure a distribution deal like Meg has for her music.

This is so sad. This person still holds out hope for the visuals. Now, they want her to open for Cardi. Do they not realize how embarrassing that would be for Normani? She hasn't been on tour in years and her first one after the debut album should be her as an opening act? She would get dragged so bad

Because of that Hollywood Reporter article that came out earlier this year. And Normani forever being silent with no updates. She did nothing with Dopamine. Her only performance slated for this year was the Empowher festival that was most likely a scam. I can see why people keep thinking they are reuniting. The only artists I can think that perform well commercially on RCA is SZA, Doja, and Tate. Everybody else did sales that were close to Normani. And some of the artists on their roster, I've never even heard of.

the only one I see relaunching solo is Normani. she was the next biggest after Camilla and has a few hits. they all went on hiatus 5+ years ago and barely anyone checked out the other three's music. I can't see people being interested now if they were not before.

see the recouping the money thing makes no sense to me. under RCA, Normani is tied to 3 platinum singles ( Love Lies, Motivation, and Wild Side). Love Lies itself is 5 times platinum. There's no way that RCA hasn't recouped the money they gave Normani from the portion of sales/streaming they are entitled to.

I have to defend Lydia a bit. Why do some people act like Brandon was getting her booked like that as well? Motivation released Aug 16 2019. Two days later, she performed the song at the VMAs. There was Jingle Ball and streamy awards but barely anybody talks about those performances. She doesn't even have them up on her Youtube. That was it. Nothing all of 2020. Then Wild Side came July 2021. She wasn't even booked for the VMAs originally. Then she performed for Savage x Fenty but she was an ambassador for the brand and performed before. We got Fair in March 2022 and only one Jimmy Fallon performance. the VMAs was the last big stage she was on. That was 4 years ago. Brandon stopped being her manager in 2023. from what I'm seeing, people keep wanting her on these huge stages like coachella, amas, bbmas, etc. if he couldn't book her these stages with neither of her biggest hits, I don't know why people thought Lydia would be different. This is not the same Normani from 2018 and 2019. The hype was getting smaller over the years because she was inconsistent and doesn't engage with fans. She couldn't let fans know the Empowher scam festival was cancelled. She just removed the post from IG People want the big stage for her but do they want her? Bookings go two ways.

Always keep those expectations low. Ain't nothing happening until she posts a date. This was the most frustrating thing all these years with her "soon". Never followed up with a date

why would he black ball her? does he even have that power? anyway, considering she's on her second manager with nothing happening, I finally believe that the issue is Normani herself. Until she comes out and tell us what is going on behind the scenes, it will always be her. That's why I don't get why people keep trying to put blame on Lydia. Lydia managed Doja and Coco who were out doing stuff. How she go from that to nothing for Normani? I'm sorry but it has to be Mani.
