For those who still care, she did a shoot with a magazine and she has a brand deal coming up too, and about music? Well lol

Well it's something lol …….I also seen someone who is friends with someone who works closely with labels and Stuff say she mostly paid for all her Music Videos herself for dopamine but the problem comes from her initially being apart of keep cool a joint label type situation to suddenly being put on RCA main roster because the person in charge of her and signed her …up and left which hurt her real bad so if she were to release the visuals RCA would get all the profit from it but they didn't really help with paying for them  so if it's true and can understand not releasing them until a contract is renegotiated or new one cause what do you mean I paid for all my music videos something y'all should have done but y'all won't all the profit from them again don't know how true that is tho

YouTube is dead, I don't think she would make any considerable profit anyway.

As in no news yet or nothing's coming at all? I thought her liking that comment about the second album might mean something.

This.

I get that there are technicalities etc that will go way above people's heads, but at the same time, there has to come a point where they (she and her team) centralize the fact that the optics are bad. Also, like you said, fighting for nickels and dimes and even ownership when the alternative is sitting rotting on the roster inactive is a fruitless exercise.

I get the frustration. She (+her team) probably went out and solicited the sponsors, etc, and now RCA, having done none of that, supposedly wants in. But the alternative ain't it.

Hopefully, she figures out something. Even if it's forgetting the videos and starting afresh for album #2. And surely RCA just let her go? Dopamine had to have been a loss $$$ for all invovled?

This video was kinda annoying but when she said "The gap between her potential and OUTPUT is what makes it frustrating

This is going to be an hilarious episode. Normani's family feud episode is airing in a few hrs

Out of curiosity, but is anyone else hoping for a longer preview of that snippet she posted on her Instagram on May 31?

A wise member here said to not hold your breath, until she gives an actual date on something.  I agree.

Still, it's one of my most anticipated things and we haven't even truly heard what the song sounds like. I just like the melody and how it sounds dark. When I first stumbled upon it, I thought wow another moody, dark song that she pulled out from her vault. She is sonically consistent.

This could be a factor in why she doesn't release the MV. However, she's burning bridges doing stuff like that. Just like that BOSE ad the showed. How are you going to mention CP being the next single just to only not release it but the MV to never see the light of day.

I can see creative directors being wary of her; especially since she doesn't post that often when she has Magazine spreads and actually partnerships.

If I was her I would release it as a passion project and move on. I don't know why she would spend upwards of millions of dollars just for them to never be seen by the public. I know she must feel annoyed.

Hopefully, she learned her lesson and if we do get the second album. She learns to manage her budget and can at least release some visuals and go on tour.

when are one of y'all gon do what needs to be done... we all know the Candy Paint video is rotting on her phone cause she showed it to Terrell in that interview last year.

...don't be coming at me sideways either. we also know she ain't gon do it of her own fruition (the self proclaimed perfectionist that she is). I don't give a ____ about whatever situation y'all done created for her this week. Either actually speak on your issues or shut up about stuff coming in interviews. wake me up when it happens #ReleaseTheVisuals

I actually think she might have already left or is in the process of doing that now because RCA did a "celebrating black music" video on their IG a couple of months ago and Normani wasn't in it. I did not notice it at the time but Lucky Daye is also not in that IG post and he has definitely left RCA because they removed him from their official website but Normani is still on the rca website as of now. Lucky won a grammy for a song on his album and had a traditional album release with singles and physicals last year when he released his album so I am not sure why the separation but it might be harder for Normani to leave if they think there is still interest there for her.

Why can't It just be easy with her the route visually Dopamine was going in looked so good like are we really never going to see these visuals

It's because of that investment in those videos and performances that she never performed. I'm pretty sure they are looking for their money being recouped.

Which would make sense as to why they are holding up her releasing the MV's and her tour. She really did herself a disservice not performing and shelving MV's with no album.

She to me was too distraught with her family situation and forgot she was still an artist. I totally think Fair should've never been released and she should've just went ahead with releasing her album. I think the hype surrounding WS was enough to at least get her about 50-60k in sales.

Then she had to release her weakest single which I think was her compromise to release another pop single but was ultimately a terrible move on her part.

see the recouping the money thing makes no sense to me. under RCA, Normani is tied to 3 platinum singles ( Love Lies, Motivation, and Wild Side). Love Lies itself is 5 times platinum. There's no way that RCA hasn't recouped the money they gave Normani from the portion of sales/streaming they are entitled to.

Yeah but how long ago was those? We're talking about them wasting money on a Fair MV that was filmed (what it seemed like) on location somewhere.

You forgetting that these MV's and performances are not cheap. Procuring directors, editors, and talent for these can take upwards of 500k and don't forget the longer it takes to edit the more money is given.

So just think about how many times Normani has shot something and never released it. I'm pretty sure RCA did in fact pay some of the cost to film these videos. So I'm assuming they want a portion of the royalties.

My thing is; I get her being passionate owning her craft but a MV is not something I would personally want to hold up my career for. Yes; Normani is known for delivering some good visuals but I definitely don't think it's worth stalling my. career in hopes of receiving a 100% or even 50% of the profits.

Now her brand is suffering because you are promoting a brand saying this is your next single and after that we still haven't gotten a MV? It makes it look like you hipped them into getting a brand deal for a single that never was promoted outside of it.

I personally would just ask for atleast 50% of the royalties. I mean she about to be a trophy wife anyway. Just take the deal and renegotiate for the next album. I mean this obsession with perfection and being this power businesswomen/creative/owner isn't advancing her career.

I think they're coming back for real. Ally already released that article to the hollywood reporter and i know some people think it was just promo for her wedding but I don't think so. Anyways it looks like the update accounts are planning a streaming party tomorrow.

It looks like they are. I'm glad she's doing something but hate that it had to be this

I keep waiting for her to disappear from the "Artists" section of RCA's website ddd. Weird that there was tea about a choreographer working with her recently presumably for her solo stuff? Especially considering DOPAMINE was DOA after release week.

Personally I am happy that Normani decided to do it but if 5h stans try to diminish her solo success and pretend that they're all on the same level then I am fine with waiting for RCA to let her out the basement. Let's hope everyone stuck in 2013 decides to keep it nice and friendly

Very strange turn of events. But like... we just saw her give more of a performance in the last 5 minutes than we've seen her give in all of 2025 before today :rip: So if this is what it takes to get her on stage again, so be it.

Do they still owe one more album to Epic or did they get out of it?
