Honestly Lauren all but confirmed this performance was a one off for now lol. She said she's focused on her music 

I'm hoping we can get something from her before the year at least. 

She's in an NFL commercial.

 

 

Her photographer basically implied more (i would presume solo) stuff is coming on IG and he personally requested to work the 5H reunion night.

 

As time goes on, it looks like Normani's personal team had quite a bit of involvement in this along with Will. That's something to watch carefully along with the fact Lauren said she's focused on her solo sht not 5H. It does give the vibe that the girls really might start rolling out their various solo stuff again on the backs of this viral reunion lol

Oh my bad just checked she didn't use that lol I seen someone else say that but…. that person has been right once or twice I can't recall who it is yet cause I don't follow them but when they pop up on my timeline again I can see 

 

Someone brought up in that nation community again how the dopamine visuals/film is themed behind the moive girl 6 and dose 1 heavily takes inspiration from it with cam girl thing …and the old TV sets she keeps using in some of her photo shoots or anything she's doing related to dopamine kinda confirms visually dopamine is going to be like the girl 6 movie man in a perfect world we would have already seen it ahhhh

I really think we're never going to see any of those visuals so it's funny to me that people are still trying to figure them out lol.

 

Normani had the 5H reunion and the football commercial and RCA didn't acknowledge it on their story on ig so I wish whatever is happening behind the scenes ends soon so we can get some music 

 

Edit to say... I still think she might be leaving the label.

If this is true…we won!

 

The only validity I can give this is Coco Jones is on that label too (and reminder Lydia manages Coco). If Normani joins it, she'll get at least a proper album era and support from her label for bookings.

Also I remember when people here jumped me for saying it's good Normani got away from Sean Bankhead. Now last night all his major competitor choreographers ATE DOWN with the VMA performances for Tate, Doja, Gaga, and Sabrina. Meanwhile he got 0 bookings.
 

Bankhead peaked 2021/22 and never been the same. Normani needs these new age choreographers on her side (or continue to snatch Beyonce's team like Jaquel cause they're always going to serve).

Coco Jones is signed to Def Jam and Lydia doesn't manage her anymore. I hope this means Normani is leaving RCA but we'll see. 
 

Sean Bankhead did great work with her for music videos but sucks outside of that. I want to see whatever she was working with Draico Johnson.

Mess, well Lydia did good with Coco's first era + ICU's era. This album era was not done right, it felt like they were throwing anything to a wall and praying it sticks and ultimately nothing did. Only maybe the tour which was choreographed and directed by Kiira Harper (who mainly works with Victoria Monet's tours + live performances so that makes sense). 
 

And I agree, Draico might be tea. I'm very curious what he created with her. He has such a wide range of skills and experience so it could be a mix of things. Emmy worthy choreography coming?

Nation might not like Lydia but Doja and Coco's best eras were with her. If Normani had a competent label I think things would look very different

 

I'm just glad she's working with choreographers that aren't Sean or Parris.

I genuinely think if Normani wasn't in bad standing with RCA, we would see Lydia work her magic. Even if it's just one big era, that's all Normani needs then she can switch off Lydia. Normani just has to get to that next level like Doja where her brand name & performances can just carry itself.

Whatever she's doing, I hope she's well into and close to premiering it. All my faves are done with their eras and Ciara's was uneventful, per usual. I'd hate for everybody to be talking about more is on the way and she's just now getting things on the role. If she's not ready to premiere something in the next 4-8 weeks, I'm going to be pissed 🤣! 
 

As someone said, it looks as if she's either not a priority at RCA or no longer on the roster. I don't think they'd simply release her after the amount of money they've spent and couldn't recoup, labels usually tend to try and ruin your life and career when you owe them, but I could also see them making a nice chunk of money off her "Love Lies", "Motivation" and "Wild Side" to the point they're not concerned about her. I've also seen some Nation praise the idea of her being Independent, but I just wrote that off as them having a humiliation kink. 
 

Whatever the case, I'm happy there's a possibility of her wanting to continue music to some degree, because I definitely wrote her disappearing axx off a longtime ago. Every artist doesn't get it right on their first try, some of the greats took years to get their career together. Janet didn't get it right till her third album, 4 years later. It took Tamar 12 years and 5 labels to get her chance in the spotlight. Even Aretha counted for 12 year until "I Never Loved A Man". 

My thing is; if she really wanted she could've broken the album up and made a re-issue like SZA Did. Have Rocket and some other songs that she wanted to release. 

 

That way you didn't really abandon the album and it gets a fresh start.
