That would make sense but in the Grammy interview (which I haven't watched in its entirety) they mention that they are working with people already. So I'm guessing maybe that she isn't signed but she's in the process of getting a distribution deal?

I'm sorry it wasn't RCA it was Sony in Ireland but maybe Simon has something to do with it? Also, if she did get shuffled under Jive this wouldn't be her first time working with Mike Weiss either he used to work at Maverick Management who used to manage 5H after Camila left. Which could be a positive or a negative because I remember the last album was mismanaged but that was moreso on the label's part . I do think they were performing on a lot of late night shows then so let's hope the same happens for Normani.

I think she's under Jive Records. I saw that the president Mike Weiss and David Melhado follows her. Which may amount to nothing but I found it odd that the RcA had been posting her recently. Maybe that's why she's pivoting to more pop records; as they both know her biggest hits were pop.

There were rumors of her releasing a collab this summer and releasing an album in the fall. I also posted a while back from a semi reliable rumor account that she was working with Rodney Jerkins, Pharrell, and Anderson Paak. They also mention more pop leaning which is another reason why I think she's still signed to a label. If she was indie I think she would lean heavier into R&B.

Well i'm not inclined to believe that if she was independent that her and Lydia wouldn't have acknowledged that. To me a split definitely occurred between her and her label but I just think we would've heard by now if she was independent. Like didn't she do a whole women's empowerment conference? Wouldn't she have added that she's an independent artist and her struggles with keeping up with her schedule? You even mentioned before that there is some kind of clause that would prohibit her from releasing but not from speaking openly about it. I just have a feeling that she moved label or maybe is in the process and doesn't want to speak about it before it's finalized.

I still don't think she's independent for some reason. I would've thought that she would've announce her leaving by now. I have a feeling she's with TDE and is just keeping it under wraps.

So i'm hearing that the AMC Virtual concert thing is canceled. Maybe she has something else planned?
