The real issue isn't that her album flopped, it's her reluctance to release music or perform consistently. She still has the chance to turn things around and build a solid career, but going back to Fifth Harmony for a reunion now would feel like a step backward, especially since she hasn't truly established herself as a solo artist yet.

But the reality is that she won't change. Inconsistency is in her DNA. I understand what you mean when you say going back to 5H when she haven't establish herself well is failure but again the group is her peak. In the group she could fly from Asia to US just to rehearse for DWTS but today she can't even post an acoustic version of all yours on YTB and can't speak more than 2 times a year to her fans. She don't care.
I personally can't wait to be a teenager again during the time 5h get back together, it was happy times (but also frustrating 😭)

I'd take another year of IG posts and random collabs over a 5H reunion. This cannot be her story, at least not right now.

i still don't know why so many people are against it lol. 5H's reunion based on what was said in the article is basically going to be a tour and a documentary. They didn't even say they were releasing new music. They would be doing exactly what all the groups are doing now. Doing group stuff and ALSO releasing solo stuff. it's actually the new norm thanks to kpop groups. Beyonce who was more successful than both Camila and Normani combined went back to Destiny's Child to do an album.

 

Lydia followed Will Bracey who is Ally's Husband/manager on Instagram recently so it maybe happening. I am on the side of I am happy for normani doing anything but I know a lot of people hate the idea of 5h reuniting

I should've worded my post better. love the group and was there from the beginning, so I don't look at the reunion as a negative. In fact I'd love to see the documentary and any other content. I'd just like a proper album cycle from Normani before it happens and we have to wait another 5 years for a second album. We know the entirety of this group cannot multitask. I'll be content with whatever takes place but I want a proper effort from Normani first.

I totally understand. I just don't know where Normani stands with RCA and after seeing RCA leaving Normani out of the black music post, she may even be in the process of leaving the label. I mean we may end up having to wait years for them to let her release another album or wait a year or so for her to set up with a new label or be independent. I would like to have some Normani content since nothing really might not be happening for a while even if it's fifth harmony content .

 

Hopefully Normani gives us some actual news on Saturday about everything.

Well that's the thing. Norman is not nearly as successful as she should be. I personally would love to see it happen. My issue is if there isn't any new music and no real product other than a tour (which I'm assuming will be limited to small theaters). Then what would be the point? 

 

I mean I think her getting back together with the girls can bring some necessary attention to her. However, the others stand to gain more than her (which is nothing wrong with that) from this. 

 

Normani to me with some consistency can work her way back to the hype she had if she was just consistent. 

 

She ****** up her brand and her hype by doing long pauses in between releases. She just needs to focus and keep her eyes on the prize. 

 

I just want her to go on and release the lead single to her second album. See where that takes her; if it does well; release another single. If that does well— release the second album. 

 

We need her on talk shows, we need her to perform at festivals, we need her to tweet and interact. 

 

Im not sure she can juggle a reunion and her own career (sorry to say it).

I agree with you that if Normani is consistent she can build back her hype but I don't believe it's up to her at this point. I think it's the label. She might even be changing labels. We have no idea. If she's in transition to a new label, or being independent or even waiting for RCA to allow her to release again then why not a 5h reunion in the time? 

 

Zayn's 2nd and 3rd albums flopped terribly on RCA but he signed to a new label and his new album last year debuted way higher. He was able to have a normal promoted album and it worked for him so I think it could work for Normani too. I just don't want another long span of nothing
