If liddos who play Fortnite have told us multiple times that this isn't the regular Fortnite but rather a new game that has only had 1 "season" prior to Gaga, then it's clear that this was strategically done prior to LG7 era.

 

They're reusing all the Chromatica designs from 2020 when she was supposed to be part of the original game but that doesn't mean it's only going to be for Chromatica. In that case they could have dropped it at any point in 2021, 22, or 23 in the original game.

Because this deal was put together and created in 2020. This is just her finally fulfilling her contract. Nothing can be changed last minute to accommodate new music, and it would be weird for them to shoehorn new music in with Chromatica. This Fornite thing is strictly Chrome, BUT she is obviously, imo, gearing up to come back if they are deciding to do this now.

Being "done" is not the same as being able to release something. Just like with a song or album, the music itself can be done but then everything else has to be put into place too. Epic Games is a huge company so they can not just move things around for Gaga and vice versa. We will never know why, but I think it is interesting they are choosing right now to finally release it.

Replay deserves more streams.
