Girlfriend for the weekend ft The Weeknd  feels like the perfect the next step. The song isn't very serious like Disease, it's quite poppy and radio friendly, and features a fellow super Star.

 

I think going in the HAC direction would actually be a misstep. She tried that with Joanne and it didn't really work. Idk. Ah!

the concept can work but it has to be two separate albums released back to back (and not with basic ass names like LADY and GAGA)

 

I don't believe the album is being reworked or delayed (for now) but this "era" is so... exhausting

 

Seems like we're always waiting or begging for something to happen. Why can't her team just do something that makes sense? Like, how hard it is to take advantage of the quieter first week of the year + DWAS going #1 to announce the album?

She actually said back in November that LG7 as a whole is very fun

Not us all thinking the same thing after that video. I swear if she rearranges the album for ******* DWAS I'll KMS. LG5 all over again

I feel like if she were to release a solo HAC ballad as the next single it would flop just as badly as Disease. I think the GP would welcome a more pop radio friendly song like Girlfriend feat the weeknd or Zombie Bride. Disease is one of my favorite songs of hers but I understand why it didn't click with the GP. 

She uttered the word "peace" once and wiped off your peace of your mind at once

This, if there wasn't big festivals lined up for her. Would be a wasted opportunity for the album if you have the "bops" coming much, much later and nothing attached to them- promo-wise

Who does a surprise release album when the lead single dropped months before. Has anyone ever done that?

Theoretically it would make so much sense to capitalize on DWAS going #1 this week by announcing the album. 
 

"Pre order my new album, featuring #1 hit DWAS"… but maybe that's coming tomorrow

I really don't think the album is getting reworked. She seemed so proud and excited of the music she created this time around.

Have some common sense sis, I don't mean in that literal sense. We know it's coming, but maybe she wants to announce it only a week before. Like Ari did with Positions or even Harlequin.

Yeah the track record with solo ballads is kinda all over the place chart wise, also we kinda just got it with songs like Close To You and Happy Mistake 

@opbranden post some statement that she's reworking everything and it's not coming any time soon here to rile up the twitter and cupcake monsters so we can have another moment like-
