Madame X is the epitome of an experimental masterpiece. This album will never be understood by the mass majority due to it targeting several niche fields in music one being the audience of Portuguese music which is already a small community and experimental electronica. Let's begin our journey in the wonderful land of Medellín. The reggaeton sound blends perfectly with Maluma's homage to the city he grew up in and Madonna's exquisite writing style like, "we built a cartel just for love" reaching the deepest parts of our hearts. The album then takes us from the bright landscape of Medellin to the twisted symphony of Dark Ballet, a warped cacophony callback to American Life introducing the Russian masterpiece made by Tchaikovsky. The supreme hoodie that we all live under, the American Dream, has been unmasked and the true desolate nature of it has been revealed. Into God Control a powerful political statement built on a children's orchestra echoing the power of children's voices against the US madness of school shootings and the lack of gun control even tho shooting after shooting occurs and all the puppets in charge just point fingers instead of doing something which Madonna perfectly embodies with lyrics spoken/sung in a distorted tortured tone "When they talk reforms it makes me laugh. They pretend to help it makes me laugh." WE NEED TO WAKE UP. In similar tone we move onto Future which is a dancehall masterpiece telling people to be woke and to take care of people outside of their singular mindset. Think about the people that are impoverished and taken advantage of or none of us "Are coming to the Future". The particular version sung on the Madame X Tour is even more haunting stylized with destroyed buildings embodying a nuclear or environmental disaster. This version includes and additional verse encouraging people to hold the message within them and practice what they preach. The sonic departure from the album to Batuka is jarring in the right way, as we should never be comfortable with where we are as things change and rights can be taken with complacency. In this call and response song Madonna is joined by the Batukadeiras, who powerfully took the shackles of slavery and made music from it. This song directly targets Trump, and really and old man who has held back and imprisoned society for their own gain, which has occurred in history more often than not.
