Now what I need to understand is with all the streams and sales from the album, How do:

a) Sales of the album, do they count Break My Soul since it's included?

b) Streams of the album are obviously going to be a lot, wouldn't it be expected that this will be the songs biggest streaming week?

This ain't it, baby.  These are some of my absolute favorites right now.

 

OT: The only song I'm not really fw right now is Thique, which is completely fine because it's the most disposable track on the album. But I can legitimately cycle to literally every other song and catch a vibe. I'd even go so far as to say that this is probably the first Bey album ever that each track has immediately clicked with me upon impact. Normally, there are always a few that I've had to grow to appreciate after some time.

It’s impossible for me to rank the songs because so many are on par with one another. Greatness after greatness. But my personal faves are Thique, America, I’m That Girl, POTS, AUIYM and Summer Renaissance. 

The album is #1 on Apple Music in 100 countries. That is WILD!

I guess that's what's so amazing about this album. So varied that most of us have different favorites but at the same time it all ties in together to tightly. 
 

And yeah Plastic Of The Sofa is just phenomenal, her vocal delivery in it is sublime, I got shivers everytime I listened to it. I missed this kind of stuff from her, I am sad it's one of the underrated tracks. It was my favorite upon first listen but Virgo's Groove is just too excellent and took over for me.

Radio is actually slowing down. I backtracked it a bit.

 

If we were still getting 1 million updates, we'd need even less streams

 

Album purchases dont count towards BMS. BMS counts towards the album

 

Ehh, possibly depending. The GP will try to stream the other songs much more since they heard BMS already. But it's already gotten a big boost regardless.

The best about Renaissance is that the album feels so familair and experimental at the same time. It feels like a logical next step but also innovative. It has a rich production musically and vocally (which we all she is known for). Just got my CD, I love how the album includes this big picture booklet, it's a beautiful packaging. It's so good to have her back. Like she wasn't really gone, I have played the Gift, Homecoming and even EIL a lot, but a full brand new record just by her of brand new material is the best

It seems critics don't like the fact that it's not political and seem reticent to give a better score than Lemonade's to an album less "serious". 

Sidebar: BMS is so much easier to stomach in context of the album.
