I have listened to the album... and for the first time in my life, it's not connecting

The lyrics... sound uninspired to me... am I losing my taste or?

 

Love the transitions between songs tho, and some of her best vocals are in this album.

 

But for some reason, I have only connected with Move

 

 

Heated is a certified banger, I can definitely see Drake hopping on the remix 

Guys I just bought the CD and it's a mess, can't believe that Sony released this low quality CD, it's entirely in paper, no plastic etc, but the thing is when you actually try to open it and take the cd or booklet out, it's impossible and the paper snaps and tears in the middle. idk even how to explain it

Don’t be too hard on yourself, maybe it’s the stress or maybe it’s the type of music, not everybody likes this kind of music and it’s okay  try to relax and listen to it when you are in good mood.

I don’t know ya’ll after the listening to the album front to back about 5 times - I honestly think HEATED is the best song.

 

This is why I didn’t listen to that Drake reference when ya’ll posted it or hyperventilate about a “Drake leftover” Beyoncé will take anything and make it sound like audio diamonds.

 

It’s the bridge at the end of the song, those angelic BGVs then that outro where she absolutely went awwwf. This gonna be a number 1 song. Mark me.

The consistency in this album is beyond perfect. Favorite Beyoncé album for sure. Church girl though…. Ufff she did that.

LMBO at the fact there are existing listeners that actually believe that "I'm That Girl" is mediocre and an album turn off when it's the exact antithesis . Are you guys okay? The set-up of the song is next level, fisherman-hook-enticing-intro bonkers. It perfectly prefaces what is to sonically and lyrically come. Beyoncé bought that extremely expensive Guerilla glue and ascertained inseparably connected cohesion:

 

 

 

 

Incidentally, Nicki Minaj would eat and swallow that beat up and leave no crumbs. The initial beat of the track ALMOST sounds a bit Chiraq oriented:

Hive! I have not bought a physical copy of an album in years.

But Bey is making me want a physical copy of Renaissance. Her power. 

I see a lot of people not connecting to this album, I don’t really care because I love the album but I just hope she doesn’t flop

Okay after it's been officially released I finally got to have two more listens, with headphones too

 

We still have a couple days left of vacation and I just feel such the URGE to put my headphone on and listen to this non stop ugh but it would be rude to my friends, this is torture. 
 

Still need to process everything through and through but this is one of her best albums no doubt. Virgo's Groove is my favorite right now and idk if that will change 'cause I am completely obsessed with it, last time I felt like this with a song of hers was Blow and that's my no1. VG is definitely in top10 of her discog for me  already. Plastic of the sofa is a close second the vocal delivery is soul healing I cannot even express how it makes me feel. The fact that they are one after the other on the tracklist too and the transition bewteen them is godly, this is the peak of the album for me. Cuff It and Summer Renaissance are 10s too. 
 

I still haven't clicked with Alien superstar like everyone seems to have, I can see the appeal but it just not hitting me that hard; also I feel like I should be enjoying Pure/Honey more than I do currently but we'll see. Honey is definitely better but so short.

 

For most of the rest I will have to dive in more to decide how I really feel about, though I am very intrigued. However I do feel the album is kinda bloated and a rather tedious listen from start to finish, even though the transitions are excellent. I feared it will be like this cause I usually feel this way with very long albums but yeah I can already see myself deleting a few songs from my iTunes after a week. Move will definitely be one - that's the most underwhelming track for me, I had high expectations considering the Grave Jones feature. Im That Girl is most likely going to, album opens woth Cozy. Not feeling Energy either but the transition into BMS is otherwordly so I might just keep it for that alone. 
 

Overall I don't see this relacing ST as my favorite B record but it'll

probably land somewhere in my top3 after a bit of trimming.

 

It could all change with the visuals though, cannot wait for those as the booklet has me gagging for LIFE.
