The drought has really hit this thread lol. 

 

Some random thoughts...

 

* The pics at Jay's granny's party don't present as our girl in shoot form. I'm gonna keep it PC as some get hyper/overly sensitive about it, but I'll just leave it as I don't gauge that she's shooting anything right now. 

 

* IMO, the increasingly short attention span of the modern music audience will benefit Bey tenfold.

 

If, as I suspect, she plans to largely sit out the rest of 2025 (save for any Cecred/SirDavis things), come Q1 (when I imagine rumblings of Act III will start), there definitely will be the "we miss Bey, she's been away for so long" chatter. The irony being it would not have technically been that long since the CCT. 

 

* Personally hoping she forgoes the theatrical release for a CCT film (if there is one). Stick it on a streamer around Thanksgiving / Christmas. Less pressure than the AMC theater thing and allows for a buzzy-but-not-commercially-measured wrap of the CC era. Again, assuming Act III is early 2026, this will give a similar distance that existed between the RWT film and the CC announcement/commercial.

Really wanted to sit out the Ivanka discourse, mainly because I "get" that the optics weren't good but I equally couldn't believe how overblown that was by some on here and beyond.

 

Surely we're not going to pretend that we didn't all see Bey campaigning for Kamala. We know where her politics stand. So, unless we're saying she has been "performing" her liberal political stance, I don't see why it should have been received as anything other than a seating faux pas.

My dear this is about the cowboy Carter film. Act III will be next year  we're close tho!!

I'd much rather have act iii than the CC film, but I don't think they'd tease something as monumental as a new single and/or album via Parkwood like that.
