But after Madonna and Gaga, I think an act like U2 or Coldplay is more likely for next year. Bey in 2027 feels ideal. A show celebrating 30 years of her career would be legendary!!

My spanish is bad but according to comments on that X that woman didn't confirm anything, she just dropped B name as a possible performer - like a lot of people wishes too

 

I would also bet on a rock band like U2. It's possible that around December we start getting solid rumors about who's more likely to do it

I imagined that was the case with that video

 

U2 or Coldplay. Or maybe Paul McCartney. These are my guesses.

I wish they would announce it way earlier. Getting hotel and flight to Rio is a bloodbath. The sooner they announce it, the better. 

 

I saw an interview with the guy that got the info that Madonna was going to do it and leak it. He didn't have an official confirmation but he trusted his sources were legit. When he posted the "rumor", people started booking flights and hotel based only on his headline.  He said he got scared because of that (but it turned out to happen as he was told it was going to).

 

For Bey, people will get crazy and starting booking Airbnbs all throughout May in hopes to get the date right. With Gaga it was a mess as well but her date was leaked prior to the announcement.

Her entire job for the year being an itty bitty two month tour, must be nice, especially when last year all she did was drop an album and do the christmas day halftime.

Can I just drop in to say, I'll be messy and drag anyone in an argument or to make a point or to defend, but Beyoncé's critical run from BEYONCÉ->Lemonade->Renaissance->Cowboy Carter is completely incredible. Like legendary. A true achievement. Who else that is also an A-list pop star has ever delivered THAT level of critical consistency? Really impressive.

Probably Off The Wall --> Thriller --> Bad --> Dangerous... and that is very rare air.

If anything, Beyonce has it in the bag as the premier female artist who has maintained her A-List status this whole time while making critically-acclaimed albums.

 

Not Pop music per se, but I'd also submit Stevie Wonder's Innervisions --> Fulfillingness' First Finale --> Songs in the Key of Life --> Stevie Wonder's Journey Through "The Secret Life of Plants" as an honorable mention.
