right, lets focus on the scamming pits so she can change those ASAP, the setlist isnt moving

:suburban:

I was worried I'd have fomo not being on the floor or in one of the pits this time, but I'm actually really happy I got a lower a bowl facing the sage

Not my GP friend (with sincerity, not being shady) texting me "I can't believe Beyonce's tour is doing so badly."  I'm not even bothering to text back and correct it, but damn.

The way social media has been determined to smear Bey the last couple of years is crazy.  And to an extent it's actually working

They are texting you that three days after the tour has started , when the videos and positive reviews have been everywhere? Idk

Its the same for me. My boyfriend just told me his Boss got tickets for Beyonce in NYE for 250 US Dollars (they have been 900 before) and their immediate reaction was "because its not selling well". I had to correct him and explain that it's resale prices and why they are now cheaper than before.

Can't be possible. I was told Yvette was a great publicist for posting about adding the Vegas date we all knew about?

There were several GP friendly people who said exactly the same thing to me about ON THE RUN Tour 2

And that tour was actually struggling.

this isn't the first time and it won't be the last. It still won't faze her or do anything to her

This fan gave a detailed look into what the pit was like too:

Scamboy Carter gets me again with another scam, praying they change it by the time chicago comes around but I have a feeling she wont

:clack:

Yikes! Not this being my ticket area. Basically got this area as a contingency with hopes of getting Club Ho-Down later (cheaper and, IIRC with RWT, it's one of the littest places to be)..

Fast forward to now and there still original (non-resale) tickets avail for my date in that area, and it's going viral for not being worth it lol. FFS.

Speaking selfishly, but also in general, they really need to do something about this asap.

As someone who had BeyHive pit for RWT, my spidey senses were already at attention when I clocked that its CC Tour equivalent was way larger. Translation being, the most expensive and "closest" area has swelled from small enough for the select few at the RWT to huge enough to accomodate hundreds at CC Tour (which equals way more $$$). Based on the girl's take and many others I'm seeing, it wasn't a wise move organizers part. It may be more $$$ but it's buying them bad press.

Problem is: People are not invested enough, so they dont check themselves. And the algorithms are algorithming, so they are just exposed to the newest HEADLINES, consume them and take them for reality without second guessing it.

Media literacy at an all time low + laziness has really become such a dangerous combo

I bought this same section too, it was the first thing on my tik tok feed

I was in the Beyhive pit last tour and I thought it would be the same, that area was great

I downvoted this because I am in those pits and this felt like a personal attack. NASTY!

Yvette, once again, demonstrating her masterful skills to shape the public narrative around Beyoncé.

Not me agreeing with you.

it is beyond Beyoncé. The level of stupidity is a current epidemic.

beyonce ain't gotta do anything but gag with her numbers (actual data)

She wins.

People will always be stupid and believe stupid things. Moreso than ever

I just know Yvette will upload the LA boxscore the second Beyoncé exits the stage and end the discourse a bit.

Hopefully her order of business will be: Beyoncé exits the stage —> Silent cancellation of the second Vegas date —> Box office report for LA :suburban:

Seriously, I'm kind of scrambling about what to do now. Not even just because of ol' girl's TikTok but even seeing the show.

Bey is literally performing every song I love-love the furthest away from that area and generally doesn't appear to do much of the show in that region overall. The most expensive region at that. Like I can't even make this ish up.

Mulling contacting Ticketmaster to see if they can change ish, as surely it has to be some kind of false advertising based on where the stage is. Anyone with any info on this, please drop a DM on what to do cus...wtf.

I wanted to see her pull out a wooden stool and do a whole acoustic segment for this tour. It would work considering her injury and the country vibe. I feel like this tour wasn't well thought out and she didn't include enough of her older country-esque songs, the saving grace are the visuals honestly. The stage is really impressive but again feels too gaudy and high maintenance for what I thought was a country show…?

I get this critique. She could've made the AT/JFF/Protector/Flamenco section acoustic rather than having her stand up have choreo done around her. i also agree she could've included older songs like irreplaceable and single ladies and made them country, that seemed easy and obvious, especially since she hasn't properly performed either song in a while and they are two of her biggest hits

I am a semi-fierce Yvette defender because of the following:

* Bey has a full, robust team. Comprised of analysts, marketers, strategists, and so much more. Yvette has been longest serving and, by proxy, is the "face". But I will never get why blame is squarely put at her feet so much.

* Bey presents as "managing" herself, but she actually does have someone who heads up Parkwood. Hierachally speaking, Yvette actually answers to that person.

* Ever think that if Yvette was doing such a bad job she would have been let go? In a world where SO many core people in Bey's team have been let go, I don't buy that Yvette is that teflon that she has a job for life if if her performance slips.

* Bey ultimately heads up her own ship. She could have every positive suggestion thrown her way. But if she's not for it and is adamant about doing ish her way, then there's nothing an Yvette can do.

I'd bet sis just takes her directives from Bey and does her bit accordingly. To the defense of her actual abilities, I've been Hive for long enough (basically from the very start) to see her/their strategy ultimately come up tops. There have been countless times where there's been a "Bey should speak up"..."I can't believe they aren't saying anything...what us Yvette doing" etc. Only for it to prove to be the wisest move, be it diffusing BS or taking power away from the loud and wrong (like a Kanye).

unlike RWT setlist, CCT on a can easily be changed. songs could be added and cut. she used to do that a lot more in the past. if I remember correctly, at first few FWT shows there was no 1+1 and TBO and she did Sweet Dreams and Single Ladies the first night. so she could surely do something about Irreplaceable in future. its not like it needs a lot of rehearsals or production

another thing that came to mind (even though I know she wouldn't do it) is that she could have a different section instead of ITG+COZY+AS that would fit another one of her albums. like she could do a LEMONADE section in Houston and Self Titled section in London or something like that. that's how she could perform all her albums. however, this is not a tour for that

It's beyond Beyoncé but at the same time it also isn't. We all know Ticketmaster is a scam and an issue in and of itself. However Beyoncé and her team saw the drama back in 2023 with tickets and prices, they've also seen what dynamic pricing has done, there are many examples of it with other artists, they saw the last year with everyone concerned about prices and the economy and knowing the artist can choose to turn off dynamic pricing they opted not. Thus leading to lagging sales and the perception of a flop era.

I've tried reaching out to them already, you can't change them

Yes I agree.

People who think Yvette is isn't following a brief, or a way of thinking set by Beyoncé/Parkwood is kidding themselves.

Even Beyoncé, someone who very expertly worked off the Mathew Knowles Handbook before making her own in 2013, surely knows what to do regarding promotion, publicity, etc., but has chosen NOT to do it.

The fact that so many Hive to this day can't wrap their head around the fact that she CHOOSES these "mistakes" or "oversights" or "lack of transparency" is wearing thin. At some point we need to accept it because it's not changing and it should be very obvious that it's not.

[I'm veering from the subject here but]

I'll say it once and I'll say it again: the reason Beyoncé puts so much more marketing into her products is because in this digital age of music, she actually doesn't need to "sell" anything out. There's a reason her June 2024 vinyl drop had more personal promo from her (basically) than the whole album drop, there's a stock that needs to sell. The tour is also selling fine with minimal extra promo, and Beyoncé seems content with that and allowing the tour to self-promote which (now that it started) it is.
