Beyoncé

I disagree about Single Ladies, yes its choreography is iconic, but she could easily switch it up, mix it in with a country style line dance and shorten it up a bit.

I feel like if she just keeps these moves:

ring-beyonce.gif

beyonce-single-ladies.gif

She would be fine, and these aren't intense

yes! in additon to it just perhaps being boring for her to perform now... she does seem to like to (slowly, at times) evolve things.

she could switch it up, I'm sure it would be good, and I'd love to see a line dance version... but that video/dance was such a tour de force for her... cementing her in the "dance" lane of pop, in addition to it being a HIGHLY iconic piece of choreography. I simply don't think she's going to do it half-assed, nor is it going to itch the nostalgia of the audience who wants it performed to change the routine. It'd be like doing another dance to the Macarena... kinda silly.

Y'all, Bey is saving B'Day songs for the act iii tour. With all the bluesy/rock live instruments. DEJA VU! FREAKUM DRESS! GREEN LIGHT!

I think people are so bothered by her because she has never had a public meltdown or lashed out on social media.

She also never acknowledged any hate that she had on social media like another pop star recently did.

People are so mad for the simple fact she doesn't allow them to frazzle her.

I agree with the infidelity thing — that's why I find Jolene so tiring. I know Ms Parton was gagging for years for Bey to cover Jolene, but for ME I think the best Dolly song Beyoncé could have covered would have been Coat of Many Colours.

its literally a song about a girl being so grateful for her mother, and about her mother making clothes for her to wear because they didn't have access to the nicest stuff.

if that doesn't sound like the perfect dedication to Tina Seamstress Knowles - WHILE ALSO inserting Destiny's Child into a pre-existing country canon - I don't know what does!!

it would have been PERFECT

I'd love to hear Bey's version of this...

but here's why I think Jolene is successful...

it's CAMP.

She's not seriously trying to dissect Jay's infidelity again. She's not legitimately upset or unbothered masking pain or anything that Lemonade did. It's just a fun way to relate to the song and a way to make it her own...quintessentially a Beyoncian experience.

That, and taking perhaps the most famous female country song of all time and doing it her way is kinda badass.

So true~

They always say ignore the bullies, they just want attention.

But on one ever really mentions that sometimes the bullies don't stop because... they want that attention.

Forgot I had a dream last night where she was doing a show in Edinburgh but it didn't sell out so everyone got a notification saying "Your new show is in DC this time next month. Enjoy!" Everyone started booing, then I snuck backstage and overheard her admit she's pregnant and they were gonna need to cancel the whole thing

ALSO YES!

Id choose Coat of Many Colours over 9-5 only because I feel like it fits in with the autobiographical angle of Cowboy Carter (which really focuses on motherhood, ancestry and children), but the real goofy fun energy of 9-5 is mostly missing on the CC studio album I think.

i actually was watching her perform Alligator Tears on tiktok early and realised how much her charisma and performance lightens what is a pretty heavy song. I think that's one thing a no-visuals trilogy risks—the visuals can help create a tone and an atmosphere for these records, and the utter camp nature of the cowboy Carter visuals would have helped me on my first listen of the album I think to fully get what she was going for

TEXAS HOLD 'EM is her 9 to 5 energy.

But if we are throwing songs with that energy into the mix, I nominate "Two Doors Down" which is such a cute and fun song about being sad, going to the party two doors down, then bringing a man back home...two doors down.

I think Blue will close act 3 tour singing, I'm getting the feeling that B is preparing the baton pass

I'm fine having her keep Before I Let Go on all her tours... it was my fave moment of RWT and she sounds so amazing on it.

I mean its very telling how Tina would choose to stand up for her daughter (as she rightfully should) as opposed to Beyonce.

She just doesn't care about any of the negativity, she is very secure with herself, and she would never give people the reaction they so desperately want.

Since they don't get that reaction from her, it bothers people so much and I love that.

instead she performs JFF and SPAGHETTI

Am I the only one who liked Black Parade on RWT?

instead...she performs...two songs...from the album... the tour is named after?!

and not a song she didn't record as a country song?

I see your point though, that she didn't exactly go back and countrify her catalogue, but I mean, those two songs belong on this tour more than Irreplaceable.

I never wanted her to do Irreplaceable, aka the only true SKIP on B'day :ryan3:

I'm glad she knows it's a chop and a boring song. I truly cannot imagine it fitting in anywhere on the setlist without dragging it down.
