I’m not unenthusiastic about a collab album just because the last one was mid and flopped. I never think about EIL so it doesn’t factor into my feelings at all. I just don’t see where Jay’s creaky ass fits into this project.

An acoustic album could be amazing (it’s such a vague term…there could be a ton of diff genres on there) so I’m definitely excited about that.

 

The JayZ album? I don’t really care because we’ll have gotten 2 albums and Ren is amazing and among her absolute best, so whatever. But really? Like why lol. EIL was garbage for the most part. They DO have a handful of truly amazing songs (CIL, DV, UU, and DIL being the top 4) so you never know but yeah….

What I’m most worried about is the tour. I do not want OTR3. I can’t. I’ll be upset about that. The FWT was literally miles above OTR 1 and 2.

I’m picturing acoustic to be Disappear by her, Slow Burn by Kacey Musgraves, Read Your Mind by Tayla Parx. There’s something so euphoric about a guitar and a 808 so I really hope she can find a nice sound.

no shade, "Daddy Lessons" is a fine song but I don't think I'd like an album full of it. but she's probably the only artist that could make me like it, lol.

 

I think an acoustic album with country and rock elements would bode well for her image and commercial success, tbh. 

It being an acoustic album makes it that it could have a lot of influences from all kinds of different genres. Some could argue that Gaga’s Joanne was an acoustic moment for her but she incorporated different influences throughout that gave the album peaks and valley’s. And acoustic album does not mean all of it is gonna be country or IASF type ballads.

 

This album will be beyonce’s interpretation of acoustic just like how rennie was her interpretation of the dance genre.

the narrative went from publicity fatigue back then to suddenly pretending like the songs weren't good now & a bottom tier track on Lemonade is somehow better than the whole album. Very fake. Can't wait to see the switch up on "Renaissance" a couple years from now...some of you have already stated some wild takes on "Lemonade" & "The Gift" already since Ren's release.

When I think acoustic I think Wynn Las Vegas vibes, but yeah I also am sceptical to believe all acts are that different. If they are, why make them a trilogy? Why not just label them as three stand alone albums and eras (not “acts”). There must be some cohesion that links all the acts together….

Absolutely, to be quite frank if I would be in her position id stop working. Like I literally would resign and just live my life haha. Even tho probably at one point that also would get boring since u already saw everything.

 

Anyway, im here for acoustic/country/rock, tho once again I fear she won't perform, which in my opinion completely defeats the purpose of "acoustic". I hope she can make some exclusive live performance where she sits down and just sings. Thats literally all I want. I don't care about production, just give me/us you, Bey!

 

As for the Jay thing , meh. That duo will never excite anyone anymore. Sure, there might come a bop here or there out of it, but I think everyone has moved on.
