No one that's a fan of Bey is expecting nor asking for a country album. She's a R&B artist even if she does IASF or Renaissance. And no, the GP won't use country either because the last global country hit was Need You Now in 2010.  The genre is not a thing out of the US.

This is why I want an album (like B usually does) w/ multiple genre influences. Just replace the Dance, Disco, Afrobeat, and Reggaeton (I'm That Girl) elements on Act I w/:

 

Country, Blues, Jazz, Rock & Gospel merged into her usual crossover R&B / Pop.

 

I want her to open the Pandora's box of country music (because you know the press will talk about it and haters = newfound attention), while also strategically praising other genres that were rooted in Black/ American Slavery influences. 

 

I don't think she worked on Ivy Park Rodeo w/ Orville Peck (as well as Monaleo & Snoh Allegra), and sent items to Kacey Musgraves & Mickey Guyton for no reason.

I would like to see 2-3 country-leaning tracks on an album of 16 cuts of multiple genres. Even if I found out she worked with Ryan Tedder to improve and further country-fy the instrumentation of this record below, I would be happy.

It just has to be more than one track to show that she actually has an interest.

 

 

There were first rumors that it was a country album, then there were rumors that Honey Dijon was working on it, and that ended up being true. Act ii being "acoustic" makes sense.

She's an RnB who can do a country-leaning album if she wants or an acoustic album with some country songs. She did IASF, she did Renaissance and it's not like it'll be the first country song of her career. Like I said no one is expecting her to become a full country artist or the whole album to be just straight new white country type of song, I expect she will dable in different genres. And some of Shania Twain's biggest hits were country or rather country-leaning pop, Daddy Lessons is also the most streamed non-single out of Lemonade. It even has combined almost as much combined streams as Sorry so some fans clearly like it. She is also not obliged to release the country songs as singles, if she will even do anything pure country. It also is just a rumor, some fans are open to the idea, that's no crime.

That's simply not true. As evident in this thread and Daddy Lessons' Spotify streams. That's the song casual fans talk to me most about in Lemonade in France. 

I feel like the public might support a country album if the hooks are strong and the themes stay true to the Beyoncé brand (hence why I mentioned Before He Cheats a few pages ago). But if she comes out with some lovey-dovey snooze of a country album, she's about to make EIL look like The Bodyguard

Yes! ... y'all will probably think this concept is crazy and far too involved, but something along the lines of this is what I'm hoping for:

 

 

I'm hoping it's another concept album: Maybe Act 2: "Beale & Bourbon St. Nights"

 

(Memphis TN / NOLA)

 

I'm thinking some sort of 1960s angle where we're placed in a fictional relic-of-a-1900s Black bar that has a Nashville country night, live blues/jazz all week, and a jukebox that only has old-1940/50s Gospel records. Maybe Glynn Turman narrating an intro? 

 

The album would flow matching the days of the week, but end on a massive Saturday night party with an explosive record like "Virgos Groove" .... and then we have two Gospel joints put at the end as the staff come in on Sunday morning to clean up the remnants of the party and turn on the jukebox.

 

 

- The Live instrumentation of 4

- Country/Blues/Jazz/Gospel

- A surprise Selena-esque outro somewhere to pay homage to Tejano music/Texas

- Possible samples of old Southern Gospel, Motown, Blues, Charlie Pryde (Country), and the Jazz Greats.

- Call-and-response Gospel joints with a (live) choir of voices

- Bar sounds to make the project immersive (and maybe the sound of a door opening/closing and the music being shut off to symbolize the end of another day

- Anthemic records like OneRepublic's "Counting Stars" (actually birthed at a Beyoncé session) stripped down of the modern elements w/ more live instruments would actually make sense here. Ryan Tedder is the guy for the job as rumored.

- Questlove has to be involved in the instrumentation in some way... because he has been going HARD for B on Twitter for the last 5-6 years.

- Y'all know I want B00TS to return, and the Blues with a little hip-hop is his specialty.

 

My sister is in labor with the first baby in my family since me, 27 years ago. I'm getting a whole nephew before I get visuals from Beyoncé.

 

Never forgetting that comment by @Mitsouko about all the Hive that have passed since Beyoncé dropped the I'm That Girl teaser on YT 15 years ago.

Renni is disco, afro beats, house, electronica, hip hip, RnB, pop etc

if by "country album"....they actually mean what you described then i could be musically here for that. but any of that Carrie Underwood and Reba McInytre stuff...ya'll can leave that where it is. the live arrangement with Dixie Chicks is what saves "Daddy Lessons" b/c it added some funk & soulfulness to it. but anybody saying its better than EIL is reaching.

I think an acoustic album would be amazing. Idk why you guys don’t like that idea. Act III featuring Jay-Z tho, that’s a no.

When u look at their iconic collabs (Crazy in Love, Upgrade U, Deja Vu, Drunk In Love, Young Forever, etc), nothing on EIL comes close. Maybe Apeshit, but thats about it. Even On The Run is a much better executed song or Lift Off.

Summer, LoveHappy, Nice, Boss, Heard About Us, Friends, Black Effect are some of the best songs they've ever done as a duo. Please. 

 

the narrative went from publicity fatigue back then to suddenly pretending like the songs weren't good now & a bottom tier track on Lemonade is somehow better than the whole album. Very fake. Can't wait to see the switch up on "Renaissance" a couple years from now...some of you have already stated some wild takes on "Lemonade" & "The Gift" already since Ren's release.
