Yep, that's the unreleased song I was talking about. It's one of my favorite unreleased songs. I don't want it to make the album though, we already have it. That's so not Beyoncé.

I would love to see her recreate the DIL album cover next year for its 20th. I think she'd look great.

Agreed. A 4-track EP very much would have given "something for the tour" and a cute way to bridge their sets a lil more on the OTRII tour. Minimal risk and little room for any commercial damage. 

 

Even the whole "working on it during rehearsals" does not feel very Bey. It's cohesive but was unquestionably slapped together...for reasons that had little to do with artistic expression (extra material for the tour, a close chapter on the Lemonade/444 narratives, an attempt at snagging a quick hit album). 

 

I do not want another. 

 

The concept was cool (and kind of still is). But releasing anything joint with Jay after EIL is the definition of not reading the room.  The audience does not want it and there is no commercial demand for it.
