  1. That's cool, but that's too short…
  2. SB is her best album. The promo was poorly handled so I hope they know what they're doing for this next record. All I need, is her next album to be GOOD, as good as SB. Don't care if it's rock, dance, disco, trip-hop or smtg else, I just want it to be good. I hope SB was just the start and she's about to deliver for the next 10 years.
  3. Yeah, Motivation is a bit boring. The production sounds empty, it lacks layers and garnish. I'm very very excited for the "Day" part as On Wires and After All are amongst her best songs. I'm a little more cautious for the "Night" part, DLMOTDF and this last one are cute but not on the same level as So Right, Psychedelic Switch, Shy Boy or even Kamikaze. She might be in a too joyful mood to make night-ish dancefloor anthem with a good nostalgic/melancholic melody ?
  4. I think Sam just released what I'd consider his best album. I've never been completely won over by any of his albums; his last two were rather haphazard, with some tracks best left out (their length was also a disadvantage). And being rather picky about ballads in general, there were always some tracks on his first two albums that didn't quite work for me, despite their quality. Here, everything is incredibly cohesive and, above all, good from start to finish. Every track is somewhat original, memorable, with no filler, and this style suits him perfectly! "Moondance" with Feist and "Thief" are two of his best tracks. That version of "To Be Free" with the choir coming in mid-song—the wave of chills I got! It's a perfect album for autumn, not necessarily the super comforting kind you might expect. There's tension and doubt in the melodies and lyrics. But it's really well done. I'm definitely going to get the vinyl.
  5. The song is cute but I wish it was a bit more....just more actually. There's no real difference between the verses and choruses, it's a shame the melody is VERY catchy ! Princess is very good tho.
  6. I have Michael and Hot Wet Delirious on repeat. I'm less of a fan of Speakerphone, a tad repetitive imo. Very curious to listen to that album, the cover is immaculate.
  7. Honestly the song is a grower. I kept coming back to it today. The musical production is HEAVEN, i love the nostalgic vibe, i wanna live in NY thanks to the mv and i wanna go to work with that song in my ears every morning. It's very relaxing, very *girl who's gonna be ok*. It's very comforting.
  8. Okay, the music production is VERY good. I'd even go so far as to say excellent, BUT… HOLY SH*T, TROYE, WHAT IS THAT TOPLINE? You've got a killer instrumental—nostalgic, with breaks, shifts, and real depth—and you give us nothing? I don't mind the spoken-word verses too much—I get the vibe, it was cunty on OOYG—but honestly, you could've brought a bit more variation. But that chorus? So lazy, so uneventful, so empty… it's a waste. I love the bridge, though. And the music video is very nice, love the feeling coming out of it.
  9. With that description i'm kinda expecting a hate that i made you love me type of vibe with lo-fi drums and a kinda non-explosive song. It's very trendy those indie-rock songs with nonchalant production and weak electric guitar. I hope Jack knew how to shake things up.
  10. Unfortunately too expensive to be delivered in Europe, and not knowing if I'll like the rest of the album I'd rather wait a bit still. ^^
  11. "Fire Away" is amazing. So epic. I can't stop playing it, i'm obsessed. "Car Crash Baby" is very cool too. Don't like "Hi!" tho. I'm waiting to see if he drops a 4rth song before pre-ordering the record.
  12. Kinda Play&Win sounding that's true. But it's a cute bop!
  13. On the her store, the description of the 16 tracks editions (vinyls + CDs) have been updated. They now say that they are a « continuous mix » of the album. Is there a difference between the « non-stop mix » and the « continuous mix »? If not, why not use the same term so we don't get confused 😭
  14. Sorry if it's been said already but do we know if all the 12 tracks vinyls (Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade) are the non-stop mix? Or is it just the picture disc, CD and standard vinyl from her shop?
  15. 3/3, the album is going to be amazing.
  16. This is gorgeous. The ending is explosive.
  17. That's a bop good enough to descale my whole face. It's just so good.
  18. I hope a Blood Records pressing of the vinyl is coming, with that amazing album cover everything's there to make an amazing disc. Cause honestly the blue pressing's boring.
  19. As the postcard and the teasers of you and forever seem to be in the same aesthetic world (both visually and sonically) as B4, i guess they're going to expand that same vibe again. Which is not very much good news for me as their eponymous record didn't last long in my ears. I hope there will be at least more drums or explosive songs on that one (please let there be at least one song Modern Girls-like).
  20. omg this will do NUMBERS in europe
  21. I don't usually listen to straight people's music but everyone's a star (song) is a banger...so I listened to the record and it's very nice!! a few bops
  22. Didn't she say she wanted to do like the Taylor's Versions and re-record those 2 albums? Maybe this is it?
  23. She really became what she was criticizing and making fun of at the beginning of her career. It's sad.
  24. Been a while since I liked something from her. Yet I'm a big fan of her first LP NICO. This one works very well. Cute addictive bop.
  25. So If I wanna get things right : - Both songs Secrets and Lockdown come out this Friday ; - Secrets is a cover of a Fleetwood Mac song ; - Lockdown is an original song ; - They are whether both added to SB as a Deluxe or Lockdown will be on SB but Secrets will be a stand alone single ; Am I correct ?
