It's the same colors cause of the CMYK effect to make it look like duplicates, that's extremely common

There's no turf war between Tate and Addison. It's only in pop forums that people even bring them up in the same conversation, and it's always Addison fans desperately trying to convince themselves Addison is a peer of Tate. They're not even in the same stratosphere commercially and never will be.

Britney is my all time fave and it makes me happy to see the new girls being inspired by her, or even better, straight-up copying her. I don't understand why Tate is getting dragged by fellow Britney stans. Like, this is the highest form of flattery and proof of her impact, what exactly is it that rubs you the wrong way?

In the real world, both albums charted for 7 weeks on the Billboard 200, and neither yielded a top 40 single in the US, and Addison did that with ten times the promo and visibility. This delusional narrative also ignores the fact that Tate's debut was preceded by YMBF, a mega smash that has more streams than Addison's entire discography, and she landed another big European hit the same year. Once again, they are not peers.

I think it's fine. What isn't is denying Britney's influence on her career. It's all over her footprints. Whether it's her team who does this, they should at least acknowledge it.

I don't get the bewilderment. Tate is from a younger generation and will obviously look to the past for inspo and from what I understand, she is a huge Britney fan. When Britney was Tate's age, she certainly looked to her idols and paid homage, as did the rest of her peers. Everybody stands on someone else's shoulders. This isn't a new or unique thing.

Meh, this is pop music so they are one and the same for the most part.

All of the current girls are inspired by Britney. Including Addison. The main reason I like Adisson is bc she is inspired HEAVILY by Britney.

As long as she doesn't lose her unique perspective while doing it, she can copy whatever and whomever the **** she wants, just like Britney did, just like Madonna and Andy Warhol himself did. Art belongs to EVERYONE and NOONE at the same time.
