Or not performing exes/revolving door on SNL and performing grave/dear god. Or doing a tour right before releasing her debut album then not touring the album till 2023 and then not performing most of the songs from the album 💀 Or performing she's all I wanna be in 2023 at the Junos over a year after it had peaked. Mind you 10:35 was the current single then. The chaos is always so entertaining with her. For all we know she could perform greedy and you broke me first

I mean you could say it also didn't make sense to headline 2 festivals with nothing to promote or to waste the opportunity to promote her single on the VMA stage. Her team operates on pure vibes lol.

People criticising Tate's dancing is a litmus test for me to know they are just blindly hating or they have zero dance knowledge. Either way their opinion is irrelevant. Because Tate is objectively an amazing dancer whether you like her or not. Performance is even subjective to some degree. I think people can validly not like her performance style. But her dancing is undeniable.

The person in this teaser doesn't seem like her though. But i guess we'll see

She's about to effortlessly surpass 20b. And she did it without any major artist co-signing her, Disney channel or being an opening act. She really built all this from the ground up by herself. Kinda crazy to think about. Also, Olivia is at 30b, and Sabrina is at 25b, theres about the same gap between her and Sabrina, and Sabrina and Olivia yet people put Sabrina and Olivia in the same category and act like she's a flop.

I think it's a licensing thing, but it's always only her performances that get deleted. Sabrina's 2024 and 2025 VMA's performances are still up. Same for SNL, her's always gets deleted, when Olivia and Billie have theirs up. Clearly her team isn't working out whatever they need to to keep those performances up.

I mean it's a real thing. Radio stops playing non Christmas songs, and Christmas songs take over streaming and billboard charts. Christmas also diverts people's attention, which isn't easy to get back. Fall releases (esp albums) lose momentum during Christmas, so they underperform when there's no plan to regain momentum. Look at think later for instance - Greedy rebounded after Christmas because it was actively promoted immediately after Christmas. Meanwhile Exes didn't reach its full potential because they waited too long to push it, and people had moved on. Run for the hills and hurt my feelings never even got a push. Christmas freeze isn't the problem, it's more so being organised enough to handle a rollout that's interrupted by Christmas songs taking over. And her team has already shown they can't even handle a proper rollout in the best circumstances - see SCTW.

Another fun fact. It's already matched planet her's weeks in the top 50 and that's considered a smash album. Denying Tates success is so dumb. Shes close to Sabrina's career totals without ever having an era as big as SnS.

She really played in our faces again. No September single or VMAs performance. It really felt like the new visuals and hints from the festivals was building to something.

She definitely doesn't give flash in the pan, she's building a core fanbase and will always be able to tour successfully. The question is whether she will be a niche artist with longevity or become super mainstream, and it's not clear yet. i don't see how Tate and her are competition. I feel like they have totally different appeals, despite both being dancers.

And both of those top 2 songs would not even have been top 20 in 2024, so this is a dumb metric. Yeah cos the daily steams of a 2023 song is the best way to gauge whether or not she fell off, not the fact that she sold 1 million tickets on her latest tour, or her album is still in the top 50.
