While Ciara has never been a powerhouse vocalist, her voice doesn't need auto tune. Her ability to emote has always been her biggest strength, but her use of auto tune detracts from her voice, soul, and IDENTITY. Maybe that's what's lacking in her music as of late. Her spirit appears to be there, but her voice is like an over filtered selfie atp.

I mean it's not like she's not hoping it becomes a hit. There's intention in everything. As an independent artist she's not gonna put stuff out with wanting something in return.

What I will say about this song is if you take out the cringey spelling bee lyrics and replace it with better lyrics and the rap singing from 2013 and heavy auto tune it's an OK song. They over produced her vocals and the lyrics feel super elementary. It's like she doesn't want grow in neither department.

Honestly.......Unless she fully returns to Mature R&B and makes song like Promise, Body Party, and Ride, How we roll etc; I dont think I care for her musically anymore.

Please, no more bubblegum R&B. Ciara is 40 years old. And majority of her fans are at least 30+.

She also needs to work with BETTER WRITERS AND PRODUCERS, my god. TS sound like a 15 year old wrote this. smh

I really wish someone else would take creative control of her music. It feels like she is just lost without a musical vision. It has become worse now that she is independent.

This isn't bad by any means. i actually like the prechorus especially. But like... I'm not dying to hear this again.

I am a CiCi stan from '04 and her new music just doesn't have any kinda punch or slap to it - from vocals to production - this is cute but i would not listen to it again.

Someone said she makes music for middle schoolers and honestly that's the best way to describe it. It's not because she's not cussing or because she's not talking about twerking but the lyrics always feel so elementary. A grown 40 year old woman singing "you about to make me blush" with heavy autone (that she don't need btw) and spelling out words (y-e-s) it literally sounds like you're driving by a middle school playground. The production is fine. But also the whole Travis Scott voice effect feels so forced. She makes it a mission to do that on every song now and it's so cringe.
