While Ciara has never been a powerhouse vocalist, her voice doesn't need auto tune. Her ability to emote has always been her biggest strength, but her use of auto tune detracts from her voice, soul, and IDENTITY. Maybe that's what's lacking in her music as of late. Her spirit appears to be there, but her voice is like an over filtered selfie atp.

I'm always excited for new Ciara, even though her last project was lacked luster for me.

I'm a trans girl who deals with so much hyper sexualization and fetishization. Marrried/partnered men start to seem like a norm. It gets to a point where you can't say it's just a poor reflection of the married men to cheat. You start to ask yourself why you mess with married men: are you that unloved, deprived, etc. Is this the only source of romance that I can attain? It just perpetuates a narrative that it's okay for these men to cheat and being with a married man is something to boast about. Eventually all that muck starts to build up on your conscience that you can't help but think is this who I am? It's easier to love yourself rather than seek validation in others. TLDR, I know.

Nostalgia is the best medicine. I watched all of my favorite childhood movies. Had ice cream. New food recipes. Went to the movies solo. Visited home/mom. Joined a gym. Bought a PS5. Started gaming/streaming. Ran (a lot). Self help tiktok. Positive affirmations, daily and nightly. Treat yourself, but be humble and modest. Healthy distractions. When you're lost in the dark, look for the fireflies.
