Just like @Scandalous said they need an A&R team that truly believes in them, understands their strengths, and knows how to maximize their potential. Right now, they're being managed by a very weak team. They don't have a consistent visual identity. It feels like they're constantly experimenting with different looks from one video or photoshoot to the next—and, in my opinion, they're experimenting in the wrong direction. The focus seems to be on making them look sexy and conventionally attractive, and I don't think that's the right artistic vision for them. The music could be so much more fun and daring. If they can harmonize, do riffs and runs, hit belts and high notes—then let them do it. Both vocally and aesthetically, they feel restrained. They come across like the quirky kids in class who are trying not to draw attention to themselves, blending into the background instead of standing out. That's what this album feels like to me: a harmless album. They're cast as the harmless supporting characters who accompany the protagonist rather than becoming the stars of the story themselves. I think they need to make a statement and claim the spotlight. That's why I compared them to the Black Eyed Peas. They didn't have a conventional image either, but they never apologized for it. They embraced what made them different and made it their strength.

I hope this song eventually gets the success it deserves. I love seeing the girls continue to promote it. It shows that they genuinely believe in their material and don't abandon their singles at the first sign of trouble. That says a lot about them as artists.

My all time favorite album

I love Coco. She's so talented. However, she hasn't released anything truly great since Here We Go. It seems like she's struggling to find the right songs. This new single is definitely a step in the right direction, but it's still not on the same level as Here We Go.

I'm really happy for them. They deserve it. All three groups that came out of Building the Band are incredibly talented. The guys have improved a lot when it comes to their stage presence and overall performance skills. That said, I assumed that after signing with a new label, they'd have access to better producers and songwriters and would be recording new material. That's why I was a bit surprised to see them announce an older song as the new single.

I've listened to the album a couple of times, and my impression is that it feels more like an EP than a true debut album. I think the project is still lacking a fair amount of artistic self-discovery and identity-building. SZN4 have excellent raw material to work with: strong voices and, at least on paper, an image that stands far apart from the mainstream. Ironically, those two strengths have become their biggest weaknesses. On the one hand, they haven't found the right songs to showcase their vocals. Most of the tracks sit somewhere between mid-tempos and ballads that never quite explode or give their voices the chance to truly shine. Interestingly, Donzell's voice is the one that stood out to me the most. She's the member who brings something fresh and distinctive to the group. I think Private Show and Pop That Trunk point in the right direction, especially when paired with more emotionally raw and vocally challenging ballads. They remind me of the best moments of the Black Eyed Peas during the Elephunk and Monkey Business era. Then there's the issue of their image. They naturally look like outsiders, like unapologetic weirdos and misfits—and I mean that in the best possible way. Instead of embracing that uniqueness, they've stripped away much of what makes them special in an attempt to make them appear more conventional. They have unconventional voices, personalities, and bodies. Why hide that? Why pretend otherwise? As for the cheap-looking AI-generated artwork, I'm not even going to get into that.

"I Fear" is the debut studio album by the R&B-pop group SZN4, released on August 21, 2026. The 13-track project features members Aaliyah Rose, Cameron Goode, Katie Roeder, and Donzell. It explores themes of love, personal growth, and vulnerability.

3Quency and Say Now are good too, but neither of them seems to have found the right material yet. FLO's journey to releasing their debut album was pretty rocky too. There was a point when all they seemed to be doing was putting out single after single that failed to gain much traction, and I honestly started to worry that the album would never actually arrive.

I think the live rendition is so much better.

Wow, imagine the concept of your opening act outsinging you at your own show. Just imagine how wild it would be to come out and lip-sync Pinky Up after FLO had just performed their entire set live.

She's the first truly worthy successor to Britney in decades.
