Tinashe - "Crash Out"
The problem with that is that all of those singles were meant for Joyride which she intended to be an upbeat commercial album. When Party Favors, ROYL, and Company came out, there weren't even plans for Nightride. RCA just tacked them on because they had already been pushed and were too old to put on Joyride which still wasn't cleared for release. Those singles don't sound anything like the true vibe of Nightride and the album tracks are even better.

Yeah, when I saw this thread before listening, I got all excited. But after hearing it, I'm wondering whether people comparing it to Nightride have actually listened to Nightride… there's a total of 2 fast-paced songs on that album while the rest is moody, slow-paced R&B. Not sure why people heard CO and are saying it fits there. And then people also saying SFY as if Nightride and SFY are in any way similar. CO continues the trend of her music since HMU for a Good Time. It's a choreo-oriented song like Nasty, Needs, NBB, Too Easy, etc. Nightride, sweetie… CO still on repeat though. And >>>>>>> Too Easy.

There isn't one song on Nightride that sounds like CO. Lmao. Even SFY is a stretch. It definitely sounds post-SFY and is by no means an R&B song. It borders on pop rap, actually. Maybe it would have fit on Nashe with Throw A Fit had RCA not shelved it. But to me it def sounds post-SFY and is more in line with direction she went with Nasty. The only thing similar to Nightride is that it has a more experimental sound versus a commercial sound like Nightride. But the sound doesn't come close.- Tinashe - "Crash Out"
Idk why so many people think this is giving Nightride. Nightride was moody R&B with some trap components. I do love this song but by no means do I think the full record will sound like this. She often releases singles that sound nothing like the rest of the album. SFY and 333 are great examples. I'm just happy we're getting a full length album and not half and album like the last 2.Account
