The songs on Mayhem are just stronger individually, by and large. Confessions II is more cohesive as a record. I'd always choose the former. Also Mayhem's vocal performances are chill-inducing.

Mayhem has a strong 1-2-3 punch at the beginning of the album, but after that (sans Zombieboy) the songs are all too safe. Like way too safe for a Lady Gaga record. Confessions II wins this cuz there is simply more good stuff and experimentation, and a clear cohesive message and cascading sound. Mayhem is great tho, but C2 clears with ease.

Gaga is my girl, but calling an album MAYHEM and then making the concept just be a random collage of songs IS a lazy concept. Plus the artwork is also not a serve. Prefer a clear vision and aesthetic over a "chaos" (messy) concept.

Confessions II absolutely clears anything GaGa has ever put out so this one's easy. Just look at her corporate faggy **** songs she made for devil wears Prada 2 washed doesn't even touch the surface

I loved gaga and was a superfan for years but theres something unauthentic about her these days. it's like fame has changed her.

As someone who s not a stan of gaga or Madonna i liked CII the most, both are strong albums tho

honestly, both albums represent a return to form for both ladies after 3 consecutive duds (Artpop, Joanne, Chromatica X MDNA, Rebel Heart, Madame X)

but Confessions II is the superior one in basically every aspect, except vocals of course. Mayhem goes in a nose dive after track 4 with all the tired 80s slop filler and the songs shamelessly emulating other artists (Michael in Shadow of a Woman, Prince in Killah, TAYLOR SWIFT in HBDUWM)

It amuses me how certain liddo's constantly bleat on about vocals in order to discredit Madonna, but what you fail to realise is most legendary artists are celebrated for their unique tones, emotional delivery, and defining style rather then vocal acrobatics.

Nobody ever tries to discredit John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Elvis and Elton for not having voices that could soar and break glass. In fact, I don't recall anyone bashing Taylor on the level they do Madonna, and I think her voice is one of the weakest out of all the female artists.

Personally, I think Madonna's voice is beautiful in the majority of her songs.

How so? What's the substance of any of her music. All I ever hear her sing about is drugs, being slutty, cheating, killing people, and her never ending personal problems. I'm surprised she hasn't sang a song about a butt plug yet. She treats gay people like the most base stereotypes of what a gay person is and some of you eat it up. Sad.
