Tinashe - 'Popstar'

Featured Replies

She should do big theaters, The Forum in LA and 2 Radio City Hall in NYC + any festival that she can get. It's too early for multiple arenas.

Europe it would make sense to do just a bit bigger venues as MMF, including Zenith in Paris (small arena, same as FLO) + festivals.

  • my god what a ******* HORRIBLE album slop noise made for the most insufferable genre of gays, genuinely so surprised to see the acclaim, you'd expect this to be some sort of genre pushing masterpiece

  • She's just so inauthentic and always throwing **** at the wall to see if it sticks, I can't get into it. Cheap throwaway pop music. 3/10.

She's so joyous and grateful! Also great call back to one of her best songs.

Why did everything stop after release week? Especially after first week we had?Are they going to let the momentum die? Even ms. Rachel is fighting and has now surpassed her on iTunes.

Tinashe isn't gonna sell out arenas rn lol. A sold out tour of bigger theaters and MAYBE an arena in LA is the best move

As long it's stable, it should do ~20M stream for the week.

Pending …. 😣

Hilary Duff's album luck… or something debuted at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 with 84,000 equivalent units sold in its first week, before dropping to number 191 in its second week

she needs a clean version for itunes quickly

I think we need to be patient so her team can install Melatonin as a hit and maybe NWDA too so the album can keep charting idk if that make sense????

Cuz they can't pull a new version every week for the album to chart

I've been stanning this girl since 2013. I also infected my sister and my BF with her music, and now they both love her just as much as I do. We're all GAGGED by Popstar.

It's good to be surrounded by people with TASTE. heart

yeah like I get people wanting her to book those major stages she absolutely deserves, but a sold out tour is way better press (and negotiating leverage for the next round!) than overextending too fast and too soon. we have great WOM and an incredible debut plus it's holding stronger than I would ever have dreamed, but now she and her team have to balance being bold and wise to make the most of it.

Tinashe's sense of humor is underrated. She was hilarious for "this sh*t too easy like a free throw" LMAO that was top tier shade

It's TOO EASY indeed (in which she's whacking the K-Pop industry)

Agreed I think a global tour bigger than MMF should be the goal with addition to major dj festival slots next year

It would be good if they trickle release the iTunes versions back up one by one, and maybe a version of BB/Ang3l with some Needs remixes - that cannot be her only non-charting album

Are they pushing any songs to radio ? Or any promo performances coming up ? Was listening to the album on my drive to work and that run of I rather Be Alone , Crash Out, and Pillow Talk 😩🤩.

Still think Pillow Talk is the hit of the album.

I hope she does a proper Asia tour this time, and gives time to engage with Radio/Interviews.

Lollapalooza in March would cover most of South America. And she signed onto primavera in June so I imagine European tour and festivals then.

because her team, even tho it's bigger and includes atlantic now, they still fail to understand how to have a contingency plan. once again they're caught in a place where they weren't expecting this much attention and activity. they hoped for it but they didn't adequately plan for it, which bothers me still but i'm sure they're figuring something out.

this. they were surprised by all this hype and now they don't have anything lined up quick after release week to keep striking the iron. it is what it is. I don't think anyone expected this to happen, neither did we tbf

hope they book a late night show performance soon. I can imagine SNL being more open to her in the future now that she's got bigger critical acclaim and social media buzz
