She can't sing and was lucky she had the X-Factor to front load all of her UK single releases. Never understood the hype outside of a couple of songs

  • She's a violent racist so any success she had is more than she deserved

  • Yes, AND
    Yes, AND

She can't sing and she should never have had a career. Once she marched on stage at the queens jubilee and sang live with Gary Barlow and revealed her horrid voice it was all over for her in the UK N

Cheryl did the best she could, bacame uk's Madonna and is now taking care of her kid, enjoying life. I think she did great!

She should not have shagged Liam that's for staters

To this day I don't understand why she wasn't pushed in the US.

will i am was her main producer in 2009-2010 and BEP was huge so his influence probably could've launched her career there. All the singles from her debut could've easily been hits in America.

They were gonna push her music with X factor but after she bailed on the show I guess those plans were canceled

a million lights was even made in USA so that would have been her debut album for USA

She was fired.

Need you now I think.

Her appeal in the UK was her local/girl next door turned nation's sweetheart vibe plus her personal life being shared with one of the country's most popular footballers at the time.

None of this would have meant anything to the wider world though and she was never talented or interesting enough (not saying you have to be both) to have gone global.

was funny as that was all an act, she was horrid

I fear it all went wrong with Messy Little Raindrops and more specifically The Flood.

Then every era afterwards weren't full realised.

This performance killed her career.

The way it's been scrubbed off the internet and can only be watched via The Honest Vocal Coach's reaction video rip

She was local to UK, and rightly so. Terrible, awful popstar.

She only got to have 3 #1 albums cos she was on X Factor and became this celebrity figure that people went mad for. She was good looking and a media darling. That's how she sold her records. She symbolises everything that is mediocre and awful about UK's pop music, sorry.

Girls Aloud were a great band during their hights and she was a great part of that. Solo? Mediocrity personafied.

Cheryl can sing, she just wasn't particularly amazing. Good enough. But she more than made up for it with the live performances and dancing.

She has technically resigned with Universal, but she hasn't recorded any new music yet.

The huge break between A Million Lights and Only Human + each album having drastically less promo than the one before were very big mistakes

Should've done a 2013 release to keep the ball going, and not give up on promoting a single after release week.

she didn't have any girls aloud success to ride on for the US audience. I feel like if they hard promoted her as will.i.am's new ***** then she would have gone somewhere, her singles run was insane

The way this was one of a string of abysmal performances that made the British public wake up to the fact that she's a talentless fraud

I think overall there has been a lot of missed potential for both Girls Aloud and eventually Cheryl in other markets.

I also still don't get why their label/management never pushed for more succes on mainland Europe. Both GA and Cheryl could have had a nice string of hit songs in a lot of countries instead of just the very few they got

I agree

All her albums were brilliant and she was one of the pop girls that never made a single bad song. I still this very day listen to her quite regularly but I'm kinda glad she didn't go mainstream. Besides BTS I really hate mainstream stuff bc I feel they lose there touch and creativey once they do. I also loved girls Aloud too. It's something about those girls they just can't make bad music

Yeah, after The Floop it's like they never managed to make her eras last more than two singles long. After the big Call My Name they dropped the ball with Under The Sun, no Screw You single release. Although there were no more single material tracks in that album.

However, Only Human should've had more singles, It's about time, Throwback, Stars, bop after bop.

To be fair she did blow up a little in Europe and Australia but yes, you're correct. She should have been massive. A total showgirl. The whole package. She can dance her ass off and has the music to back it up. I much preferred her solo than in a band
