What do you consider your generation?

Featured Replies

What do you consider your generation, when people talk about "your generation is so xyz".

  • People born in the same decade as you?

  • People born 5 years before and after you?

  • Only a couple years instead?

  • The actual statistical demographic?

In my case, I think people born in the same decade are my people, even if more than 5 years theres already a bit of a difference.

Truthfully I think it depends on major changes/events. I feel I have more in-common with people born in the early/mid/late 80s than early the 2000s, though I am mid-90s. I didn't have non-dial up internet at home until the end of middle school. I think there's a major pre/post divide with the internet/social media as children.

Same here.

I was born in the late 90s and I feel the most culturally connected with people born 1996 - 2002. Basically the elder Gen Z and Zilennials.

umm yes everything that was born before me know nothing and ruined the world

I'm on the cusp but since I had a flip phone, cd player, and dialup internet as a kid I identify with millennial

the flop era of humanity

everything that is left for us is the ending of the world. there are crises everywhere and I don't know how it will be ten years from now

edit: oh, now i read the question lol. Everyone 5 years older or younger than me. Sorry, I needed to get that off my chest

Whatever generation I can continue to pretend to be apart of until one day someone asks me what a 60 year old woman is doing inside of Brandy Melville with a Fruit Loop flavored vape in my hand, and I will have realized time has officially caught up to me.

The weird gap between millennials and Gen Z. Zillenial? Baby millennial? Honestly, who cares. I don't really relate to either

I was born in 1956. Am I a Boomer?

Late-millennial.

It's funny, because I didn't really feel like a late-millennial until Gen Z grew up, and then I realized most of the millennials are a decade older than me.

Time flies

I'm late 90s so my litmus test is 9/11. If you don't remember where you were (or were 't alive) then I'd say that's Gen Z. Then my other litmus test is if you had a childhood before social media/early internet culture. So 1997-2003 would be who I probably relate to the most.

I can relate and be friends with people of all ages though except for anyone 18 or under (for obvious reasons outside of it being inappropriate rip).

I was born in 2000 but my older two siblings were both 90s and I identify more with millennials than Gen z cos the childhood I had was almost the same as theirs.

I was actually born in the 80s, but I identify mostly with the 90s as that's when I grew up.

I'd say anyone born in the late 80s or the 90s is the same generation as me.

idk I don't care for ages esp since my fave is born in 2000 while Im a 90s baby.

None, I kinda do my own thing, I like what I like and I am who I am.
