  1. This happened to someone I worked with and the company made them pay back the extra paid vacation week.
  2. Probably Vancouver or Toronto. Montreal has a decent metro but I think you still need a car to get to the outer areas (but it's best to ask someone who actively lives there.) I've lived in Vancouver and didn't own a car and got around just fine. Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa are also big(ish) cities but transit is behind the times in all and 100% require a car.
  3. Recent polls in Alberta show 74% want to stay in Canada and about 22% were in support of separating. That is not at all close - and proves that the referendum is a giant waste of time and money.
  4. What city is this? Jealous. I've been to a few cities with great transit systems that you don't need a car at all. I wish I lived in one. Unfortunately in Canada (and even the US) we have a strong car culture so transit has taken a back seat.
  5. Christmas is over 3 months away and places already have their decorations out. At this point, they might as well just sell it year-round.
  6. Same. If the system was more extensive and actually reliable here I'd much prefer using it over driving. Gas is expensive and maintaining a car can be pricey too. But the government is useless and has spent like a decade plus doing study after study instead of building anything.
  7. Don't use them. Also don't set high expectations, leads to a lot of disappointment.
  8. Isn't that the whole point of a single, to sell the whole album?
  9. The Twitter embeds still being annoying on mobile.
  10. A local ski resort got its first snowfall of the season. Thankfully the city is safe for now. Too soon to be thinking about that.
  11. Why are you okay is still the best album of the year. No skips. Gridway (I think that's their English name) just might be my fave Korean discovery of 2026.
  12. Why the downvote? What are tying to say?
  13. Not a downvote in the depression thread of all places.
  14. Sooo I ran into this friend today and he acted as if nothing happened and even said we should catch up. It was awkward and still got the vibe he doesn't actually care and was just being nice. I then noticed his profile now shows in "people you may know" so I've obviously been unblocked. Getting over and moving on was tough and I don't feel like re-opening that wound, but maybe he'll open up about why he brushed me off. Who knows maybe we just needed a little time apart to figure stuff out.
  15. Pee Clock is my new fave stage name for a singer.
  16. Another boring week of releases so far. I'll check out the rest in the morning.
  17. The way the name Lake Ontario is over 400 years old predating both Canada and the US existance. Dougie got him spiraling.
  18. Spent half my day playing Tomb Raider III.
  19. Doug Ford getting under Trump's skin so he signs a EO renaming a lake. A lake whose name literally predates our countries.
  20. And I mean the album not the rat infested restaurant in New york.
