Before the internet people would either go to the venue the show would take place at or go to a Ticketmaster center in a store or mall or whatever from their city, regardless of it was the place the artist was going to or not. They had them in the Costumer Service department. Also calling or mail order. Even certain businesses would sell them. Obviously that is long gone but most people are seeing those options with the eyes of the 2020s. The thing that is the same is the people camping in the box office for hours. That is the same now.
