Weirdest rebrands?

You could say the same about ARTPOP, which was marketed as a hyper-intellectual avant-garde artistic experiment with grandiose statements and the co-sign of people like Jeff Koons and Marina Avocado, and yet we were given some of the most generic songs of her career and a Real Housewives collab. I say this as a Liddo, this era made absolutely zero sense to anyone including Gaga herself.

I'm pretty sure she switched her team out after Born This Way and you could unfortunately kinda tell.

It's not that Gaga has no talent or qualities on her own, but I think a lot of the people that took it to the next level left around that time. Akon literally said he "cashed out" on Gaga's career before ARTPOP, so I also think she lost of some industry backing and favoritism. That's probably why she resorted to work with R. Kelly, and other weird collabs tbh, it was low hanging fruit.

Not an act, but probably the most disastrous rebrand of the past 15 years. The CEO and design director were fired/forced out after this.

So... I blame the Artpop era on the large amount of drugs she was on at the time. Some to suppress her hip pain, others due to addiction, maybe she blurred the lines between the two. Idk, that's just my theory. She clearly wasn't in a good state of mind at the time.

Olly Alexander starting in Years & Years as a trio, ditching the producers to continue Y&Y as a solo "project" to then drop the name entirely to just use his real name all within the same album campaign rip

The new font was not bad per se but what the hell were they thinking to remove the jaguar from the logo rip

Kelis becoming a classically trained saucier isn't exactly weird, but definitely worth mentioning.

At least she ate this up

certain traits and ethos are still here but geri is the most changed out of the girls from what they're known as, as they've approached middle age

MC Hammer turning himself in a gangster in a speedo

Danna Paola changing her stage name to just DANNA to get some international appeal and then nothing happened after that

The Havana girl using the Latin culture as costume when it was trendy and hot, to cosplaying a budget Brat era that she never actually understood.

NO is like the only bubblegum pop influenced song from the record.
So why releasing that to showcase your record?
