I don't like Tate's music and never will. I personally don't think that she's good at all, but this post screams internet self entitlement that is so very much 2026. I am not sure if you realise that a foreign citizen like her is in no position to comment on Trumps presidency or the entire MAGA movement. She lives in the US, her career is built on being popular in the States, she tours and promotes there. Her gay fanbase which is probably responsible for like 10% of her overall music and ticket sales is not the hand that feeds her. When the Dixie Chicks commented on Bush jr back in the day, their careers were over the moment that interview aired and they were arguably bigger than Tate is today. Plus they are US citizens and the administration back then was nowhere near as crazy as it is today. You give yourself way too much credit thinking that anybody who is building a career without having any importance of changing the course of politics in a country they are a foreigner in, is going to risk their career and possibly their safety, too.
