Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'

Featured Replies

kiss the sky is like one of her best songs, the rest is a chop

ride was truly her peak

also as some people mention she kinda always mumbled the words but in some songs in this album is to a level that is unbearable

Loreen, the first artist to release a lead single 3 years before the album release, change labels, release 6 other singles in between and change labels again to release the album

I love this album and I love Loreen, but she deserved to commercially bomb this era. To waste a HISTORIC eurovision win and wait 3 years to finally prepare an album pandering to masses when 95% lost i

so there was an announcement for this announcement which is in fact an announcement for an announcement which we will know in 1,5 days? we love a complex queen

Well I enjoyed this very very much

Melt and Set Me Free are incredible, I just wish Gravity and Warning Signs were here too they would fit perfectly

It is absolutely not a bad album, it just sounds like it could have been released 10 years ago and some songs would sound generic and slightly dated.

Feels Like Heaven" is one of the weakest tracks, don't understand why was it choose as "first" single

Overall it is better than I expected

Th POWER that Set Me Free has... whew jonny5

played the album for my friend today and she gave the stank face when set me free and coming close started, said she loooved those two especially and also true love, tattoo, melt and wildfire

Does anyone have a tracklist which includes the droplets in a nice flow? I want them all, including Echoes but I suck at that stuff.

It's a good album but I agree that gravity should've been there

I'm not sure how i feel about the album. I need more time with it. Like it's very generic but ironically nobody else is making this type of music right now so I enjoy it, but I feel after the wait and with only 13 tracks it could've been stronger

I was hoping the inclusion of Is It Love meant it was going to be more pop songs instead of strictly electronic music, but most of it is very well done. set me free is obviously the strongest non single; I get why Feels Like Heaven was chosen as the "lead" (because it's the closest thing to Tattoo other than True Love) but SMF would've made more noise

I feel bad that this one is feeling relatively under the radar of Raye, Robyn, and Slayyyter chick3 I'll give it a first listen tonight if I get the chance!

Imagine if she announced her album after winning tattoo. Even if it was released 8 months later, the preorders could've been set up. Oh the way her career would've changed

i still need time with this album, i think my biggest note about it (aside from the enunciation) is so many songs feel more like a random dj collab song as opposed to a loreen song. they're fine and listenable but they don't have that really special otherworldly loreen vibe that she does so well.

i don't know if there were too many cooks in the kitchen or what but the magic of loreen kind of gets lost in the sauce on this.

same thing happened to me as well.. gaycat7

As a long-time Loreen stan I may admit this is very weak for her standards, but I still enjoy it anyway. And I'm definitely not going to be that kind of person who's only talking negative about her current music. I'm still glad we're all finally here to witness her new era, I appreciate it, I support it, I'm not even trying to like it on purpose because I genuinely like it. I just know it's not on the same level as her previous music, and THAT'S OKAY. It's been 8 long years, even longer than the HEAL-RIDE gap, and now I don't have time to complain. let me do that in a year or so lol but now WE ARE STREAMING

Some songs were actually unexpected, and I'm talking about Weapons or Melt. IDK it's so different... and that's what I love about it. WDWGFH is my favorite album track I guess, it's giving ATLAS at its finest. Like, some reheated Sevdaliza nachos in the best way possible. And ofc Coming Close IS THAT SONG. I don't know why it always makes me so sad sometimes I can't even take it lol 5/5 like this song gives me these butterflies/excitement in my stomach

and let me say that... NUDE EP x 13 tracks

Her enunciation and vocal effects do take some time but once you have the lyrics it's really not that bad

Oh Loreen, what happened 😥

The album mostly sounds like a compilation of songs she wanted to send to Eurovision. It's totally uninspired and dated.

That being said, i cannot say that the album is "bad", i'm okay listening to it, has some nice moments - Where do we go from here, Wildfire, Melt. But overall i still cannot accept the fact that it's the same woman who relased Ride and now this. Lyrics are really like ChatGPT wrote them in 10 seconds.

That's honestly what I was just thinking listening to Set Me Free.

I def need more time with the album but so far I think it's good but not on par with her previous two albums.

It kind of gives me Spotify version of Heal.

What stops most of the tracks from being a 10/10 is either a missing last refrain, a bridge or her crazy ad-libs and vocal layers.

Somehow I think the production is a little over cooked but I wish she took more time with the vocals.

Someone said, that this album sometimes sounds more 2012 that her album from that time and I get it. Either way, im happy about this album. Weapons alone is a highlight in her discography

I agree with this however, I'd rather it be overproduced than under which is what my main critique of the droplet era was. Warning Signs and Gravity always felt to me like day 1 demos that they decided to release.

2 days after the release of the album and my initial confusion how I feel about the album turned into LOVE! Once the new songs started blending in with the previously released ones – I can't stop listening to this album!

I can't compare Wildfire to Heal or Ride because they are soooo different in their directions. Heal and Ride felt very vulnerable, introspective, emotional, more toned down and darker, while Wildfire is Fast, hard hitting, intense, loud and confident. Heal and Ride were born from pain, while Wildfire feels like a victory lap.

While most of the songs are EDM I can still feel her spirituality, it still feels very much like an album made by Loreen. Even if it's so different from her first 2 albums, it still feels like it makes sense in her discography.

Where Do We Go From Here and True Love - very classic Loreen, beautiful songs.

But I love that there's something we haven't really heard from her before:

Weapons is my current obsession – did not expect this sound from Loreen but it's so good? I love very intense and loud songs, this just scratches something in my brain!

Wildfire still feels sooo sexy and intriguing,

Can't Pull Me Down – did not expect "do you know who I am?" type of song from her! We love the confidence!

If they are still trying to gain some success from this era – Set Me Free is the obvious choice. Send it to radios in Europe, shot a MV and promote. It has a potential to be a cute hit for her.

Coming Close is a career highlight in my opinion. The outro and lyrics always makes me so emotional. Absolutely adore it!

Melt and Kiss The Sky are the only songs im not really interested in, but not bad enough to remove it from the album or skip it while listening the album.
