Bea Miller - 'Mr. Peaked In High School'
This should get wayyyyy more attention! I loved all 3 pre-release singles and was excited for the album. After the first listen L.A. Ugly and unloveable stood out for me. I will need more time with this to fully feel this album, but so far it is very solid! BTW, I love how clear the theme for this album is and how well the singles and the name of the album instantly painted a picture. I knew exactly what this album is about even before pressing play for the first time. it's kind of refreshing when most of the time the concepts are not there at all or soo complicated/hidden in small details. On this album: Hey, I'm not where I thought I would be in my career by this age, so I feel like I peaked in high school (even though I'm still so young) and I wrote an album about how i cope with it, how I loathe myself and how I hate people doing better in their careers than me.

Megan Stalter dresses as an Emmy at the Emmys!
I Love her!!! What she is doing is sooo campy and cringy, but the way she commits to the performance is just amazing and that's why it works. Her interview with Stephen Colbert is a chefs kiss!

Tove Lo - 'ESTRUS'
I remember sunshine kitty era and I knew before the release that the album was not going to be liked by me very well. ESTRUS after the first 3 singles felt even worse. Singles are okey but I just don't feel connected to them. They are just... there. I am a huge Tove fan, but I didn't even preorder the album, I was just not excited. Seeing that this 13 song album is 30 min only also added to disappointment. Can't stand this 2 min songs trend. But F.A.M.T snippet felt like something out of Lady Wood (her best album for me) and sounds like her best song since that project. So suddenly I am pulled back in and can't wait for this album (even if this is the only song I truly adore) I also really hope, that this is one of those situations, where singles does not catch my attention but everything clicks in the context of the album.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
NEW INTERVIEW Without giving too much away, how would you describe the next chapter of your work? This year and the next will bring a wave of releases, including collaborations with creators I've admired for a long time. We're also beginning the creative process for the next Sages cycle and, in parallel, shaping a new album. The goal is to spark a positive ripple effect, music that moves people and expand awareness. The tour is being built in tandem, at a level my fans deserve. I wonder if this time her words hold any truth to it. I really hope it does!!! I kinda get a vibe from her that she does not want more long periods without releases (even if it's just random singles).

TikTok users drag Gaga, "she's Elon Musk for the gays"
I just love how even though Gaga did nothing in the eyes of the public in the last few months, haven't released anything or announced anything and there is still 4 threads about her in today's topics! Always on people's minds <3

Brooke Candy - "VIP"
I love Brooke, but I have to agree on this. I fell in love with her in her RCA pop era and this is just the same thing over and over again - songs about sex for the 4th album in the row. I don't get it, why she doesn't do any stuff with at least a bit more substance? I remember how moved I was by Happy Days and Changes. Changes still make me emotional. I do not believe that all that emotional depth came from SIA only, she has that as well.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
Okey, so if it's low sales - what's going to change in a few months? There has to be something done actively to make people interested in tour. A few months of silence or remix here and there will not spark public interest in tour. There needs to be at least acouple of new singles with a hit potential and a HUGE promotional campaign, songs on european radios and performances to gain back the attention from the public. She needs to copy Ariana and put out a new album while touring for the Wildfire. I love Wildfire but I think this should be left as a transitional era and move on to the next one.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
I was in that concert! I was shocked that it was only one arena in the whole tour and even more surprised that it was almost full! Almost 10k people attented. Then it was really clear, that nothing was happening and she was not holding the audience well, because her 2025 tour had around 3k people attenting and in the upcoming tour Lithuania is not even a stop... How do you fumble from 10k audience to not even stopping at our country anymore? I wonder what's happening with the postponment of the tour. Even if it's due to low tickect sales - how are they going to improve it in a few months? But I think something else is happening, because if it was only low tickets sales - she would not be dropping out out of festivals. Please do not tell me it is something with a label AGAIN. If it was any other artist, I could guess she is in a studio preparing another album (sweetener/TUN type of situation) to release before the tour with the better promotional campaign, but since it's Loreen she is probably just gonna take longer to prepare for the tour/change everything multiple times

Jessie Mazin - 'untitled.jpeg'
I used to see her videos on my feed, mostly covers and accoustic versions of her own songs - always tought it was cute. But once I've found this video: https://www.tiktok.com/@jessie.mazin/video/7631326269505834254 I WAS INSTANTLY A FAN OF THE SONG! Because I really assumed she would be releasing accoustic-like songs, but once I've heard the beat, THOSE DISTORTED GUITARS/SYNTHS, that sensual vocal delivery – I was counting days to this release and replaying the snippet constantly! Though I was really afraid the whole song would be somehow ruined (happens waaaaay to often with TikTok artists - songs end up sounding unfinished, too short or that the part of the snippet you loved is just a disjointed bridge which sounds nothing like the rest of the song) but once it dropped I saw it's almost 4 minutes (which is already a relief) and after my first play I was almost in tears staring into nothing and loosing myself in the feelings! I kinda wished I was depressed to feel this song even more. Definitely one of my highlights of this year! Also the whole aesthetic of this EP and videos - 10 out of 10!

ADÉLA - "KGB"
I think we need to clear this up: Music Porcelain has done with RedOne for her debut and her vibe around 2011-2015 - an absolute slay. Porcelain now - let's not even go there... To this day her music is soooo soooo good and she is a realy talented song writer, but everything is ruined by her character and a ton of empty promises. If Adela re-recorded Mannequin Factory (the album) or release something in the same vein - she would instantly become my top 10 artist!

Halsey - 'The Great Impersonator: Deluxe'
Thanks! Added to the main post. I am kinda glad now that I never got around to listen to bonus tracks (im not even sure i have listened to Alice I think) so there is basically 7 new songs for me And I reaaaaally hope physicals are coming too! Kinda kept posponing getting the CD of the standard, but the deluxe one would be so gorgeous!!!

Jessie Mazin - 'untitled.jpeg'
Why is noone talking about this? This is my favorite EP of the year so far and "the precipice" is INSANELY good!!!! My absolute obsession since its release! Also amazed by "throw me in the water", especially by the instrumental bridge. What a stellar body of work! Add 6 more songs to this and you have one of the strongest debut albums of this decade! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Slayyyter - 'WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA'
I am OBSESSED with BBF!!! What a great track, it lifts WGIA even higher! Kinda reminds me of 2014 Brooke Candy! CAN'T WAIT FOR DELUXE!

"Judas" by Lady Gaga turns 15
The way this video is still so good an feels so fresh and BIG! TOP 5 of her videos easily! Does anyone know what was the budget? It still looks SO EXPENSIVE!!!

Least favorite song from WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA?
You can not be serious... DANCE... is like one of the best album openers ever. Some artists would kill to have a song like this opening their album. The first minute alone ends some albums. CRANK being too loud – well yeah, so is $T. LOSER, BEAT UP CHANEL$, YES GODDD and OLD FLING$. The whole purpose of this album is to be rough, overstimulating and loud, this was not supposed to be another easily digestible pop record for the radio. I would vote WIILTBL as the weakest only because it feels to me more as an interlude than a full track.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
I love this album and I love Loreen, but she deserved to commercially bomb this era. To waste a HISTORIC eurovision win and wait 3 years to finally prepare an album pandering to masses when 95% lost interest and forgot about her is one of the worst mistakes I have ever seen in this industry. Again, I was 1000% sure she was going to eurovision because she had an album ready and it was a great way to remind about herself and when it turned out nothing was ready I've thought "GIRL, what are you doing????". After the win she should have locked herself in a studio in between performances, concerts and other public appearances, revisit her unreleased material, scrapped songs - ANYTHING, to come up with an album for the fall of 2023. If she released this album at that time - it would be quite a hit! And now she is nowhere near the charts. I hope this flop will finally be a wake up call for her team and her and after the tour she locks herself in the studio and prepares an album for her fans (not trying to mass appeal, no short songs, no outdated dance music, go back to RIDE and HEAL type of creativity) and release it by the end of next year, start of 2028. There is no chance for her to win eurovision again to revive her career and if she takes another 8 years to make an album - she might start looking for other job since by that time she will not have a career in music anymore.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
2 days after the release of the album and my initial confusion how I feel about the album turned into LOVE! Once the new songs started blending in with the previously released ones – I can't stop listening to this album! I can't compare Wildfire to Heal or Ride because they are soooo different in their directions. Heal and Ride felt very vulnerable, introspective, emotional, more toned down and darker, while Wildfire is Fast, hard hitting, intense, loud and confident. Heal and Ride were born from pain, while Wildfire feels like a victory lap. While most of the songs are EDM I can still feel her spirituality, it still feels very much like an album made by Loreen. Even if it's so different from her first 2 albums, it still feels like it makes sense in her discography. Where Do We Go From Here and True Love - very classic Loreen, beautiful songs. But I love that there's something we haven't really heard from her before: Weapons is my current obsession – did not expect this sound from Loreen but it's so good? I love very intense and loud songs, this just scratches something in my brain! Wildfire still feels sooo sexy and intriguing, Can't Pull Me Down – did not expect "do you know who I am?" type of song from her! We love the confidence! If they are still trying to gain some success from this era – Set Me Free is the obvious choice. Send it to radios in Europe, shot a MV and promote. It has a potential to be a cute hit for her. Coming Close is a career highlight in my opinion. The outro and lyrics always makes me so emotional. Absolutely adore it! Melt and Kiss The Sky are the only songs im not really interested in, but not bad enough to remove it from the album or skip it while listening the album.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
It's so hard for me to properly rate an album after the first or second listening. Last year I despised BANKS album on my first listen and now I really like it. For me – if after the first listening of the album I have mixed feelings or dislike it – great, because eventually I will like it/love it. And I have reaaaaaally mixed feelings about Wildfire. I think it will take quite some time to grow on me as a full body of work, since I have played singles so many times and I feel that singles are the strongest songs on the album. The sound of the album did not surprise me, quite what I have expected sonically. It was pretty clear she is in her commercial era (not sales, but musically). Not ideal, but fine. My main issue with this album WHERE ARE THE BRIDGES??????? Why there are no bridges or final choruses in this album? I think the only songs in this album that are structurally "full" are Tattoo and True Love? How did we get to this trend with her? RIDE had 8 out 10 songs longer than 4 minutes (Hate The Way I Love You is 6:38). Her recompositions of songs on tour are 5-6 minutes usually. Why can't we have fully elaborated songs on a studio record??? Really pisses me off how some songs just ends when you expect something more from it. My highlights for now: Weapons and Set Me Free.

Loreen - 'WILDFIRE'
I loved (or at least liked) all the songs so far. I'm not ready for this album, preview for True Love sounds stellar, Set Me Free sounds like a banger (listened to it a bit, but decided to leave it for the album release to listen fully). My local record shop usually receives new releases a few days early (I've noticed they have Friday releases on the shelves by Tuesday) and the thought of having a chance to listen to it tomorrow seems insane after waiting for 8.5 years after RIDE. If I get my hands on it tomorrow - I'll share the details with you about the album!

Loreen - "Coming Close"
It is sooo good, but additional minute would have been welcome. The song feels kinda cramped in a 3 minute mark, some parts feel like something was cut off from the song and the final could have been even MORE! Even 30 more seconds would have let the song breathe more. These type of songs quite often get "extended version" edits, but there is no chance of it with Loreen 🙃 The structure is very similar to Forever, but that song sounds more complete. And I still will play this to death :)
-
Loreen - "Coming Close"
I am a bit afraid, that after the very heavy bass'ed tour version this might sound a bit too light in my ears. I do hope that the preview is just the first chorus and the song grows way more! Anyway, I have been waiting for this for soooo long and I am sooooooo excited!!! The tour version is an absolute banger!!! <3

Yseult - "FREAK"
I didn't see a lot of stuff from her (I don't think I even follow her on twitter), only a few tweets about the single coming out and previously about the music video drama (when another artist basically plagiarised BYCN video) so I might be missing some parts of the whole narrative, but I think I kinda understand her attitude? I am not excusing her behaviour for sure, just trying to understand her demeanor. I think her song "Anger" and the whole plagiarised music video puts everything into perspective to me: She's a black girl in France, which is still racist in a passive agressive manner so she has to work for everything much harder to get some recognition while truly more mediocre people get the success. And I think music video situation proved her bias: somebody copied her music video and people were expecting her to just accept it. She was fuming! For like a week she was spamming everywhere how it is not fair, please remove the video, this is not cool, people were saying "omg, just let it go, enough" but she kept going and in the end she won - the plagiarised video was removed. The only reason it was removed is because she did not let go! I am 100% sure that the team of the artist who copied the video was thinking that she will post a couple of tweets and let it go, they did not expect that she would be so persistent about this. I am glad she pushed through, I was rooting for her in that moment. Whats happening with other artists and her attitude towards them - no idea, havent seen those dramas :D Also, while writing this I have noticed that quite a lot of artist (at least smaller ones) have attitude issues or a lot of anger inside them – would not be surprised it's the outcome of the way the music industry works.
