did some research while u were away, and can confirm this term is mostly used in a derogatory and classist way. it is not exclusively a term of endearment. u can defend ur country, and also admit they have a history of using the term inappropriately.

So what are the criteria for removing somebody's thread-making privileges? Because @PoisonedIvy has been threading just any negative thought that comes to his mind about Lady Gaga for years now and I've been told it's flamebait or makes certain bases feel unsafe to behave in a way that is 1/100th as extra when it's about other artists. Baiting out pages of Gaga hate-circlejerking while fence-sitting and maintaining you didn't mean harm doesn't exactly excuse the desperation and generally unwell behavior:

Yes, another user mentioned Xtina first, but the moderator chose to continue the comparison by saying Kanye has more classic singles and albums than her. A DMF thread is automatically a Xtina thread? I replied directly to his comment, and then that same moderator warned me for being off topic. @Devin f I was off topic, you were off topic too.

Penalizing someone for responding to it feels pretty questionable. I just hope an admin can review the warning.
