this girl … she is NEVER discussed on this forum however it's time that we admit that she's built up her own gay cult following through releasing consistently good and quality music through her first three albums.

with her most recent album she really honed in on cultivating that gay stanbase which was great to see , i have a lot of gay friends who seem to Stan her and i saw her pop up in a bunch of bottoms' Spotify wrapped . I Stan her . I'm no enema of her . This thread is meant as a genuine question .

she has BEEN releasing quality music . amazing albums with fully thought out concepts and backstories …with her latest album you can SEE and FEEL that the budget was ******* increased and that there was categorically a more conscious decision to try and push her out more into the mainstream (marketing , TikTok promo , influencer buy-outs , higher music video budget etc ) which she saw a bit of an increase in attention for .. and ultimately grew her devoted pathetic ugly stanbase .

But what does she have to do to break out? it feels like she was on to something with 'Stay for Something' and then again with 'Take a Sexy Picture' and she even got thrown another bown (bone) with Lord Let That Tesla Crash…. But still she can't seem to just CRACK that mainstream stratosphere … she still feels like an open secret … or a hidden gem … although i feel like she's already gotten as commercial sounding as she possibly can be without compromising her artistry .

What is next for her ?? Do you see her having a breakout hit ?? Maybe a Calvin Harris ft. CMAT or Avicii ft. CMAT upcoming ? a dj feature is the only way I can see her breaking out into the GP at this point

Im not gonna lie ive been drinking white wine while writing this thread and i begun it with a real incentive and a whole lot of motivation to promote my ginger Irish sis but by now ive actually lost motivation and am just feeling like going to sleep so im going to chew on a couple melatonin gummies and watch Fergie double douches music videos on YouTube Premium on my Samsung Smart TV mounted on my wall and go to sleep however if there are any good additions or opinions to this thread rest assured we will be reading through all of them and picking out our favourite ones

I've been obsessed with her since hearing sexy picture in June. She's incredible! I keep telling everyone about her but it doesn't seem to be sticking. Hopefully talent will win eventually.

CMAT being a country singer is probably the biggest thing holding her back, people disregard the entire genre which is such a shame because her music is phenomenal.

it's funny because ive never naturally thought of her as a country singer but rather of her as 'parodying' the genre if that's the right word ?? i mean i discovered her when she just had I Wanna Be A Cowboy Baby out (and it was accidental from trying to find the original vine) so that was my first impression of her

Lord Let That Tesla Crash was not only cleverly written, but unexpectedly tender... like I thought it would be a goofy or celebratorily angry song, but it was very reflective and sentimental

I have been exposed to CMAT cause Declan McKenna is friends with her... I think they reflect each other as charming pop-makers with both 1. colorful style and 2. thoughtful lyricism, both of which are probably born from operating in a popularity-based industry with homely bone structures (I have a giant crush on declan mind you, but you know what I mean)

as a final note, I don't think "GP" recognition should be the goal for any musician. like that's my least favorite thing about atrl tbh. this is such a delusional bubble where musicians are treated as failures if they are not celebrities... when being a celebrity is miserable, and the stanbase gets more toxic once the "GP" swarm in

EURO-COUNTRY is one of the best albums of the year! I'd argue she had her breakout year in 2025, especially in the UK and Europe. She is playing considerable venues now.

On topic (because im replying to a mod and don't want them to warn me ) : good points in the thread and i agree her stage name holds her back . when im telling people about her irl i always feel awkward saying her name because im sure other people are perceiving it as 'seamatt'

I am not familiar with her music at all but every time I read her name I think of the Country Music Awards

I've only heard the title track from Euro Country, but I really liked it. Perhaps OP is correct.
