Didn't the Oscars already respond to Liza's concerns years ago? That was the same year of the Will Smith slap which caused everyone to be on edge. The last thing they needed was a frail elderly woman to fall out of a tall directors chair when announcing best picture

The Liza 'controversy' is probably the most absurd thing I've seen in awhile lately, it's a no-brainer that the Oscars producers prioritized her safety and health over the risk of her falling in front of the entire world live on television, now that would have been humiliating with endless of memes circulating around the web as her last appearance.

Everybody knows she's in a wheelchair and that she has serious health issues and there is nothing to be ashamed of or to hide, ultimately her appearance and the moment with Gaga was praised as one of the best moment of the night, she got immediately a standing ovation, that matters, not the kind of chair she was sitting on.
