  1. Well... It's not surprising for Xtina, but Britney's peak is very overrated. Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Adele all have albums that have sold more units than her ...Baby One More Time. And even Katy Perry's and Lana Del Rey's peak albums (Born To Die/Teenage Dream) will certainly surpass ...BOMT since it's a forgotten piece of garbage with only one memorable single.
  2. OT : no, she's one of the few MPGs without a $200M+ tour. Even Katy Perry achieved one.
  3. "At it's time BOMT was the biggest female album" ajajjdjd The Fame, 1989, Fearless, 21 are all higher than any Britney album on the Billboard 200 All-Time Chart and they also made more Year-End Chart appearences. Britney was a struggling singles act at her peak who ONLY managed to place 4 Top 10s between 1998 and 2006.
  4. Britney's a has-been with no longevity who was shifting units in a climate where fads like Alanis Morissette or Norah Jones also had diamond-certified albums. A loser from the physical era who couldn't even sell more albums than Enya ahdjdjej. No album that's stayed on the charts for a year since 2001, no classic album that regularly charts on Billboard, unlike the legendary classic albums of Gaga/Taylor/Adele/Lana/etc. The only "heavyweight" female artist without a tour that's grossed over $200 million at the box office—my God, even Katy Perry has one.
  5. Britney fans really live in an alternate reality and they are the least educated in terms of statistics. Adele doesn't have one, but two albums that are significantly bigger than any Britney Spears album. And yes, even 25 sold more units than ...BOMT. Despite only being released in 2015. And The Fame Monster/1989 are currently generating more sales units per week than any Britney album sold. That's what happens when your discography is forgettable and you can't produce more than one hit single per album, even at YOUR PEAK. 1989 10,944,000 4,524,000 9,000 (30,000) 5,063,000 (33,750,000) 22,430,000 (05/14/26) Av.: 8,560 LD: 9,190 42,970,000 21 30,692,000 2,851,000 33,000 (110,000) 8,883,000 (59,220,000) 14,509,000 (05/14/26) Av.: 5,380 LD: 5,500 56,968,000 25 21,188,000 41,000 0 (0) 2,850,000 (19,000,000) 11,596,000 (05/14/26) Av.: 3,640 LD: 3,810 35,675,000 The Fame / The Fame Monster 15,745,000 4,141,000 354,000 (1,180,000) 12,039,000 (80,260,000) 13,622,000 (05/14/26) Av.: 5,230 LD: 8,780 45,901,000 ...Baby One More Time 24,277,000 3,638,000 2,919,000 (9,730,000) 440,000 (2,930,000) 2,867,000 (05/14/26) Av.: 930 LD: 1,960 34,141,000
  6. The last time Britney had a multi-week #1 album on Billboard 200 or single on Billboard Hot 100 was before 2001. The Twin Towers were still standing. Bffr, her hype is massively overhyped on ATRL / stan culture.
  7. Her "hits" in the digital era were weak singles or front loaded flops a la Hold It Against Me/3/S&M Remix. And I can definitely bring Gaga here since she's my favorite and she destroys your favorite. The Twin Towers were still standing the last time this fad had a single that was Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 Year-End Chart. The last time she had a multi-week #1 album on Billboard 200 was in 2000, just one year after her debut.
  8. Britney had absolutely no chart strength. Even in 2001, she was flopping with singles, even though she was still close to her peak. That's why the last time she had an album that stayed on the charts for a year was in that same year.
  9. And the same senseless excuses keep coming back.
  10. Physical sales were already in sharp decline and didn't carry much weight in the Hot 100 charts in 2001, and even in the 1990s, radio airplay was more important. It was a radio thing, but I can already hear the excuse you're going to give me: "sHe wAs radIo bAn"
  11. But they were released in the US lmao.
  12. Don't let them manipulate you with their lies. They were indeed released in the US.
